Zenn looked down once more below. Where thousands of corpses lay mptionlessly. It was at yhat moment that queen ﹰZuri turned and bowed to him.
"My lord."
"What is it?" Zenn asked.
"Is there any way of saving my people?"
He felt a tug on his heart and a lump on his throat that he had no way to deal with.
Saving?
He only sighed and stayed silent. For at the end of the day, he was no god. He was just a man who ended up in a unfortunate situation. If he could he would, but he sadly can't.
"No..."
"..."
"We should leave this place."
"Yes my lord," the queen said with a slight quiver in her voice. Of which, Zenn did not fail to noticed.
With that said, he opened his palm towards the two goblins and let them climb aboard. Once they were on top of his palm, he then went down the mountain.
...
As the three went off down the mountain, something happened with no eyes to witness it.
Not much far from where Komoru's corpse lay, a single hammer stood. The hammer was large and had eerie feel on its form. It was not just the fact that the hammer was seemingly made to be horrifying, but also because it was exuding out a creepy dark haze. The way it was formed made it seem like some sort of dark artifact made by demon gods to rid this world of all life, and the haze just seemed to male it all the much worse.
But suddenly, something changed. The eerie haze that covered the hammer dissipated slowly till there was none. The horrific metallic form also started changed. As if it was a dough being reshaped though the hands of a baker, it's form changed to a more... normal look. Not only did its form change, so did its size, from hulking hammer fit to be held in Komoru's hands, to a smaller form that could seem to fit a normal goblin's instead.
After its contrasting change to its now plain look, the hammer stood there silently with its head still sticking the ground.
With all that gone and done, the battle field of corpses once again returned to its silence.
But the silence was not long lived, for a few minutes later something else happened.
Deep sitting the crater formed by the large rock when crashing down, Komoru's larger than normal goblin body laid. Unlike his previously proud bearing, he now looked no different from any of the other goblins scattered around.
He was dead.
Ironic it was, the once proclaimed god of death was now dead.
It seemed that he had once again live up to his name.
He has brought death. Only this time, he brought it to himself.
And just like any of the other dead bodies, he shall sleep eternally.
But suddenly one of his eyes opened!
His broken fingers then twitched!
His dislocated jaw opened!
Ad his broken neck turned!
And as his mouth opened, he uttered the words.
"""We have succeeded."""
But something was different. His voice had changed. Unlike before, it sounded like it was not a single person uttering these words. It was as if multiple peaple spoke all at once. Sometimes it sounded like a two people, and sometimes like ten.
Cack!
Crackle!
Suddenly, his horribly broken arm straightened. Using it, he supported his upper body up. Maybe because his spine and no longer looked like it should, but he did not fully get up. He turned his neck and looked around. Which of course, led to more 'cracks' sounding from his body.
Crack!
With a a pull of his muscles, his other arm was now in front of him. As he looked at his arm, he looked at something that seemed to pull his curiosity.
Right st the tip of his finger, where his green skins was meant to be, a colour that seemed foresight was creeping further down his hand.
It was black.
A pitch black color like a sick infectious illness that was more than interested in covering his whole being.
But as if the weird colour that was where it was not meant to be was not enough, his blackened fingers started to crumble like sand.
At the sight of such a weird occurance, Komoru with multiple voices seemingly echoing at the same time, had only one thing he could say...
""""Who are we?""""
...
Dusk had once again arrived. Ad with it came the darkening orange sky that was more than a sight to behold.
Below the orange sky was Zenn.
With a "boom," he fell to the ground with clear exhaustion in his eyes.
On top of a large rock not too far away(but yet very far away on goblin terms), the goblin duo watched their lord just suddenly fall to the ground. But due to this having occurred so many times previously, the were not as surprised. Instead, the felt grateful that they were very far from him when he did.
In their min their wondered how long it will take for him to wake up today, bit it seemed they were wrong this time. For their lord had not passed out. He was instead just relaxing after finally reaching his goal.
He had reached 10%!
After he understood 10% of the knowledge in his head, not much has changed on what he could do. The create a difference would likely be the calculator like program that had suddenly appeared in his mind.
This program ha a simple use in his power. It was meant to measure changes in size and even calculate the best possible size for whatever Zenn may need.
Immediately after this 'calculator' was installed in his head, Zenn was able to understand the best possible use of such an ability.
Say for instance, Zenn was holding a bottle. It is a simple with nothing inside. If Zenn were to take the bottle cap and increase its size for whatever use he may need. What would he do if he found that he needed to close the bottle with the bottle cap. Obviously, the now large bottle cap would not fit the bottle at all, bit with this calculator, he would be able to see the size changed of every object he altered.
The calculator like code in his head will thus world as a zoom scale. Making it easier to return things to their original size.
Of course the zoom scale in his head was not what was most interesting thing to him right now. For after he reach 10% he stumbled upon a certain revelation. It turns out that he did not reach 10%.
Well, in a way he did reach 10%, but it seems like unlike what he expected the other 90% had much more content than he thought it did.
Because unlike the first 10%, the rest of the other 90% was highly compressed!
So much so that what he had learned till may not even be 1%.
"Makes sense though. Controlling reality can't be so simple right?"
But with after he reached 10% a question came to his mind.
"What now?"
And as if to answer that question of his, Zenn felt a slight pain on his head.
