Candle Lights

The second five stood in the powder and candles circle, holding hands together, including Deborah. Fraser was shaking fearfully in fear, Jane held his hand very tight and looked at him with a gaze of encouragement. Jake smiled to Amanda while holding her hand.

“What’s gonna happen now?” Fraser shivered slowly, looking at Deborah who was opposite him, holding David’s left hand.

“We wait for it” Deb replied.

“Wai-wait for what?” he stammered slowly.

“Whatever comes in now” Deb breathed in.

“What are you talkin…”

“Fraser” Jane whispered, pressed his hand tighter and looked at him. Fraser looked at her and held her tight too.

“She’s here” Deb said and they all shocked, staring steadily at the door. Great wind began to blow inside the building, jamming the windows and doors repeatedly. The wind fell down all the wooden chairs in the church and also, the altar.

“Oh! evil is strong!” Jane cried while Fraser was busy trembling, turning his eyes around very fast.

Suddenly, the burning candles went off and the doors and windows jammed, closed.

“Are we gonna try lit up the candles?” Amanda asked.

“What?” Jane asked slowly.

“That’s not gonna happen now Amanda’” Jake replied.

“Yeah, that’s too late” Deb replied.

“Just hold tight to each other?” she added and winked to Fraser.

The big entrance door to the church opened slowly and a dark big shadow was coming into the church slowly.

“What is that?” Fraser, trembling, asked.

“Egron” Deborah replied and lighted the light sticks she was holding. After lighting them up, he gave one to Jake and another to David.

“It keeps him away” she added and focused on the approaching shadow.

Egron walked into the church with his big black over-sized gown that covered him from neck to toe and even left some sweeping the floor as he was walking into the church. His scary face was marked with black fat stretches and dirty red stains dripping slowly down his eyes and nostrils.

“What the…fuuck!” Jane squeaked slowly.

“Jesus Christ!” David complained. As Egron was approaching them slowly, a big wind like a hurricane was blowing behind each step he takes and was really scattering everything passes.

“This is becoming too much” David panicked.

’What do we do?” he added after staring at Egron.

’Just wait for it” Deb replied him.

As Egron was taking the stairs up to the altar, Deborah released Jake’s hand she was holding at the left and Amanda’s hand she was holding on the right and focused on Egron.

“Nobody leaves the circle” she told the second five.

“You really think you can stop me?” He asked Deborah who was staring at his ugly face.

“I did it before, don’t you think that I can do….” Before Deborah could finish her sentence, Egron appeared in front of her and caught her throat with his filthy hands and the burning light stick fell off her hand, all in a blink of an eye. His long dirty fingers crawled by the side of Deborah’s neck, bruising her skin as her blood was flowing into his long dirty nails.

“Deborah!” Amanda screamed and ran off the circle, heading towards Deb and Egron.

“Amanda! No!” David and Jake yelled.

“No!” Deborah, choking, cried.
