Chapter 55

As she searched for the valuable tea, she came across a peculiar small bottle hidden among tea tins in the upper cabinet. Reaching out for the bottle, she saw gold letterings that read as Happy Pills on the label. She shook the bottle, a die-hard habit of hers whenever she wanted to check the availability of the content.

Her eyes gleamed after reading the description on the bottle. “I had no idea Hue would hide something good like this from me,” she chuckled. “No wonder he is always happy he consumes these. Does his bad mood explain that he had forgotten to take it today?”

She dropped two yellow pills on her palm and sniffed them. It had a citrusy smell, unlike any other medicines that smelt either sweet or bitter. Then, she prepared cup of teas and put a pill in each cup. The light yellow tea turned darker, just like black tea. Faint steam danced on the surface of the cups. A citrusy aroma lingered in the air.
