"rendezvous" they had been working together even though there was some sort of tension between them. Aimee intrigued him; he found her interesting.
She was the first to break all the treatments he was used to. She was strong, feisty, and intelligent even though she didn't show it often. He wondered why she never reached the top ten when she was this brilliant. She was indeed strange.
But then, none of that prepared Carlos for the shock of her quitting as his assistant. What had he done wrong? They didn't even fight nor did he bring up whatever happened between them that might - as she wanted. So what was the problem then?
