Chapter 24
Jason is also not afraid of Mona leaking the news because she has no other friends in Mondstadt except him.
As for the knights of Favonius, it has nothing to do with her.
She only thinks about the knights in case of trouble.
The three of them sat together and ate dinner.
After dinner, Lumine planned to wash the dishes herself, but Mona was one step ahead of her.
Jason wasn't surprised seeing this and said, "After washing the dishes, put them in the drawers! Also, don't forget to take the leftover soup!"
"Ok!" Mona responded.
Lumine also wanted to help wash the dishes.
A proper traveler needs to be proficient in all sorts of household skills.
No traveler should ever despise basic householding skills like dishwashing. Otherwise, they will face much trouble out in the wild.
Therefore, a good traveler should always wash their own dishes if possible.
Lumine wanted to say something...
But, in the blink of an eye, she saw Mona manipulating water elements and cleaning all the tableware quickly.
Lumine was stunned, looking at her skillful dishwashing. She didn't expect anyone to use elemental powers except in battle.
"Why are you arguing with a hydro vision holder for this kind of thing? Mona is very good at cleaning stuff!" Jason calmly said. He's used to Mona's skillful dishwashing skill.
"I see..." Lumine had no other choice but to accept her defeat.
Jason folded his arms in front, stared at Mona packing away the remaining soup, and said, "Mona, starting today until the next month, you should come here at around seven o'clock. I will ask Sarah to prepare this type of soup for you every night, so you can take it back home."
"What!? Jason, there's no need for such trouble!?"
Mona was quite disturbed by his care. She didn't want to be overdependent on him.
"This is therapy!" Jason said in an unquestionable tone.
"Huh? Is there something wrong with my body?" Mona was a little frightened after hearing this.
Lumine was also thoughtful and said, "Is this the legendary medicinal diet?"
"It's roughly the same."
Jason replied. He also wanted to see the effect of his dish on Mona's body, whether it was useful or not.
So, this is a necessary cost for an important experiment.
"I don't have any terminal illness, do I?" Mona sprinted over with the effect of Illusory Torrent and grabbed his hand nervously.
"Not really..."
Jason gave her a reassuring look and said, "But if you don't do what I say, it's really hopeless..."
After saying this, he looked at Mona's chest and then at Lumine.
Even Lumine has bigger breasts than her.
It's simply shameful.
Obviously, she has such an attractive body.
"Ok, I get it..." Mona didn't find his gaze.
"I, I will listen to you!" Mona left the restaurant with a sense of unease. She didn't understand what was wrong with her body.
"Won't Mona stay here for the night?" Lumine asked him curiously. She thought Jason and Mona were about to start their romantic night.
"She owns a rented apartment, so there is no need for her to stay here..."
Jason looked at her strangely. After thinking a bit, he determined that Lumine had misunderstood his relationship with Mona.
Lumine lowered her head slightly, and her pretty face was somewhat red due to embarrassment. After Jason said this, she realized that she had misunderstood him before.
Jason and Mona are not in that kind of relationship. It's all just her misunderstanding...
"Brush your teeth and go to sleep. You need to wake up early, right?" Jason said, trying to change the topic.
Lumine shook her head, indicating to him not to worry about it.
Then, she thought about something and said, "Jason, I want to show you something."
"Oh!? What is it?" Jason raised his eyebrows in interest.
Lumine took out a red crystal from Paimon's backpack space. She can easily connect to Paimon's storage space even without her presence.
After the crystal was out, it started emanating an evil aura into the atmosphere.
"This crystal..."
Jason snapped his fingers and manipulated nearby wind elements to close the windows.
He didn't want anyone to peep inside his restaurant. Many threats are lurking in the city, after all.
"Jason, do you know about this crystal? Paimon and I picked it up outside the city today. And, we also encountered Stormterror with a weird guy wearing green clothes in the wild."
"And, Ummm... Is this thing useful to you?" Lumine asked him nervously. She hoped that this crystal was of some use.
Initially, she planned to show it to the Knights of Favonius.
But after she found out that Jason and the knights were not in the same group, she decided to show it to him first.
"This is the crystallization of Dvalin's tears. It became like this probably due to a strong curse." Jason explained to her after thinking for a while.
"Dvalin?"
This was not the first time Lumine heard this name. During the battle, Barbatos also called out this name. She found it strange at that time.
Suddenly Jason asked her something, "Lumine, do you remember what are the Four Winds of Mondstadt?"
"Hmmm... If I remember correctly, Wolf of the North, Lion of the South, Falcon of the West, and Dragon of the East..." Lumine recalled and answered.
"Yes, the Wolf of the North refers to the Knight of Boreas, grandmaster of the knights. The Falcon of the West represents the Knights of Favonius. Lion of the South represents the Dandelion Knight, Jean, the current acting grandmaster of the knights. And the Dragon of the East refers to one of Barbatos' oldest allies that have been worshipped the longest out of the Four Winds, Dvalin, the Anemo elemental dragon."
"You mean Dvalin is Stormterror!?" Lumine was shocked after hearing this.
"I said before that we only need to clear three out of four Temples of the Four Winds."
Jason further explained, "Dvalin can only borrow power from the other three temples because the fourth one is its own temple."
"But why did Dvalin, as one of the guardians of the Four Winds of Mondstadt, attack the city?"
Lumine was confused thinking about it.
"This is the reason."
Jason pointed to the eerie crimson crystal suspended in front of them, "The composition of this crystal represents the problem inside Dvalin's body to a certain extent. Even a tear is full of such overflowing curse power; I can not imagine how much it is suffering at the moment."
Lumine felt a little sad after listening to him, "Does this crystal have no other effect than showcasing how bad Dvalin's situation is?"
After seeing her disappointed expression, Jason smiled and said, "There's still some use for this crystal."
Then, he reached out and touched the crystal.
[System prompt]: The system detects that the crystal contains a powerful curse. Do you want to purify the crystal?
Yes!
Jason quickly clicked on the 'Yes,' and a clear light flashed on Jason's palm.
The light quickly suppressed the red glow full of evil atmosphere emanating from the crystal until it completely dissipated.
The large chunk of crimson crystal shrunk into a fist-sized aqua green crystal.
"This purified crystal contains a large amount of anemo element. One drop of this is probably enough to blow up a Vision. There might be some use for this crystal in the future." Jason meaningfully said.
"Jason, how did you purify it?" Lumine looked at him in surprise.
"Actually, you can do it as well." Jason said, "This type of curse does not affect travelers from another world."
