Potential.

3 hours later…

I'm stuck with the Hokage in his office as we were waiting for the preparation for my early exam.

"Who are we waiting for? I'm bored. I'm supposed to be outside playing games or showing off my Shuriken Jutsu."

"Be patient. It's not like children have early graduation every day of the week."

After an hour of waiting, I felt Krueger-sensei chakra coming this way. Finally, he entered the office in a rush and said,

"Follow me." I did as I was told and followed him. We entered a private training area where there were three chunnin instructors and in the middle was the Hokage himself.

I never realized this before, but Sarutobi-sensei looks much older. He had much more grey hairs. It might be because of the stress, times are tough for the Hokage these days.

 I looked back at Krueger-sensei and he was talking to some other chunin, "Krueger-sensei, what's going on?" He looked back and said. "Well, I'm trying to get another chunin to attend your exam because unless you forgot, I'm still a teacher."

After talking to him, Krueger left to go back to the academy.

The exam instructor came with a chair and placed it facing the other chunins and the Hokage." Please take a seat." He said gently.

I sat down on the chair, and he started politely asking me questions.

"We have already asked some of these questions you when Krueger was introducing you to the academy but cope with us cause we use them in this exam, so please answer these questions honestly, ok?" I nodded.

"Why do you want to become a ninja?" He asked 

 "I want to become the strongest ninja, one who even surpasses all Hokage ones who have come before after and the current so that I protect my Family I already lost my parents once because I was weak, I had to make new friends and family, I will train to be the greatest of all time so that I don't lose anyone else because of weakness." 

After I was done speaking, I had shocked everyone. I could see it in their faces. Hiruzen nodded and said.

"I wouldn't put it against you. I've seen your talent and potential. At such a young age, you could do so much. I'm sure you can even surpass Lord First, the god of shinobi Hashirama Senju." It surprised everyone to hear the Hokage himself compliment me like that. They respected him obviously because he is the Hokage, but not only that, he could always see potential in many shinobi such as the legendary Saninn.

"With that being said, what are your thoughts about the village hidden in the leaves?"

"I have no quarrels with the village hidden in the leaf, I would lay my life down for it if I had to, maybe after I become powerful enough I can even consider being Hokage, the only thing I wish to change is the old ways of Konoha and the ninja world." 

It surprised him that I would be so willing to lay my life down for the village, but even more is that it did not satisfy me with the ways of the ninja world. He wasn't angry at me, but he was curious. "Why are you dissatisfied the current ninja world and its ways?" he asked curiously.

"Well Sarutobi-sensei the only thing that disturbs me in Konoha is why my father got punished for what he did, he became an Outcast to the village but he was also willing to lay down his life for the same village, I'm dissatisfied with the many wars that continue to happen in the shinobi world you can never become a great ninja by yourself no matter how much you train.

That is what we're told and taught and yet we are always fighting amongst ourselves whether it's because of land or basic clan disputes, my father knew this and he tried to help people at first by marrying a woman he loved that was from different lands but instead of listening to him his clan and village stabbed him in the back.

 That is the only thing I would change in this world, no need for violence and petty war. I would change everything so that many great nations can live together in peace and harmony. It sounds naïve, but I truly believe that it's the only way.

But Don't get me wrong, I would end all those who would dare harm The leaf because I have loved ones here and even If I didn't, this is my home, where I've been raised and where I will lay my life for, whether it is my son myself or my family and friends none shall live to tell the story of how they threatened the village and lived." 

The Hokage and the other chunins were all shocked by Ryuus' words. It left their faces in utter disbelief.

Judging from how they looked, I would say that I moved them with my little speech.

Finally, after a minute of silence, the three chunins spoke, "That is nothing but a naïve child's dream that will nev- "just before he could continue speaking, the Hokage silenced him with his hand.

"Ryuu your words remind me of Lord first and his belief and ideal world, for the shinobi, he too spoke of a world where all the great nations would live together in peace, and that's why he gifted the tailed beasts to the other great nations, but unfortunately he died before he could make this dream come true, many other lands were always blinded by power and greed but they couldn't make a move because with lord 1st it would mean certain death.

However, I believe you could be the one to accomplish this dream, Honestly I've thought about it since you came to live with me for a while, Ryuu in your blood you are a descendant of Hashirama Senju through the Uzumaki and Madara Uchiha through the Uchiha, you're the best of both worlds and that is why you're so special, but anyway let's continue with the tests."

 I nodded.

The chunins in the room were so shocked I lost them in awe, as they didn't expect someone of my age to have such knowledge. They also didn't expect Lord third to give such high praise to a child no matter how talented they are.

But they soon snapped out of it. We proceeded, The chunin instructor stepped forward and said "the next tests are in taijutsu, ninjutsu and then genjutsu. We're going to test your taijutsu first. I will hold back to the level of a genin." Yeah, no, that's not happening here. 

"Don't hold back, in the ninja world a genin is going into the battlefield risking fighting against Jonin level fighters or even S rank ninja if I can't even take down a chunin there is no point of being a ninja plus Ill have you know that despite my age I am by far more skilled than your average ninja," I smirked at that last part.

 "Very well then, if you insist."

We both took our stances stared at each other, itching to fight. I couldn't wait any longer. My blood was boiling. I was too excited to fight, so I made the first move. I used my chakra to increase my speed and ran towards him and started off with quick attacks that can be withdrawn so that I could test his abilities. He didn't expect me to have chakra control like that, so he was a bit startled by it. He quickly blocked it. 

"Hmph, I see. You still think I'm a kid and you're conflicted whether you should go easy on me." I'll try to get into his head a little.

 "That was the case, but not anymore." He started charging at Ryuu at full speed and tried out maneuvering Ryuu, but Ryuu was too quick and he countered all his moves. He tried kicking Ryuu, but he missed and he left an opening. 

I could finish the fight right here, but I'm having fun, so I'll try to hold back.

 "Not bad, but you haven't considered that I'm not even using my Sharingan," I smirked a bit when I said this. I could tell I'm annoying him. I'll finish the fight now. 

Ryuu Ran at him at full speed, leaving him no time to react and by the time he saw him, it was too late. "Dynamic entry" the chunin was sent backward and hit the Wall and he coughed out blood.

Whoops, I didn't mean to hit him that hard.

I said as I scratched my head

The other chunnin were all shocked. I went to go check on him if he's ok."Is he ok, is it my fault?" The Hokage jumped down from above me and said that he will be alright.

"I'll call for some medical ninja to take care and help him recover. Before he does, we must continue with the tests, call Shikaku Nara." I injured that chunin and I didn't even want to. After a few minutes, shikaku had reached. "You called Hokage-sama?" 

I wonder, Why do the Nara clan have people with such deep and rough voices?

"Yes Shikaku I need you to continue where we left off in the tests, this is Ryuu, so far he is the most impressive kid I've ever seen, he just knocked out a chunnin in a taijutsu match and honestly it doesn't look like he was being serious, we have yet to test his ninjutsu and genjutsu skills, I'm sure he will do great in ninjutsu but I'm not sure he will do well in genjutsu even with the Sharingan, however I haven't seen him in a while, for all I know he could've mastered genjutsu since then, now that you've caught up I'm sure you won't mind hurrying up.

"Very well then, but before we start, is it wise to do an early graduation for a kid who just entered the academy at such a young age?" That's right, he wasn't here and hasn't been informed of why we are doing this.

"This young child was punished for sleeping in class cause It was too easy, Krueger Nakamura gave him a sheet of paper to finish at least 10 correctly and if he didn't, his class wouldn't go out for Shuriken Jutsu or sparring, not only did he finish the paper in a record time of 10 minutes but he also became the 2nd person to finish with perfect scores, but that isn't the best part, the best part is that random worksheet was none other than the written exam needed for an academy student to graduate and become a genin." 

Shikakus' eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe that someone who just entered the academy had such vast knowledge at the tender age of 5 years old.

He looked at him as he thought to himself. How could someone so young be a genius at that level?

"We will continue your tests in a few moments. Tell me when you're ready to begin." 

This will give me some time to decide if I want to show off my new jutsu or I can just do a boring fire-style Jutsu hmm, this will be a tough decision. 

After thinking for a while, Ryuu was asked if he was ready, and he nodded. I'm still not sure if now will be the right time to show off a powerful move, so I'll just do another basic jutsu. Ryuu reached the center of the training zone and Shikaku left the area."Ryuu to pass this test, you should be able to do a D-rank or above jutsu." I nodded. 

I decided on what jutsu I was going to do. I swiftly waved my hand signs and did "Fire style Dragon flame Jutsu!" an enormous amount of fire came out of my mouth and formed into Five monstrous dragons made of fire and I controlled them into going outside. Everyone in the room was stunned. Not only did Ryuu do a B rank Jutsu, but he also did Five of them. Usually a user can barely manage 2 at best 3, but Ryuu did 5 and is controlling them with ease.

What a monster Ryuu is truly talented and so far from his peak, by the time he turns 10 he might be a Kage level ninja the village would be lucky to have him as a shinobi, I must keep him away from Danzo and his Root, but from what I've seen today it might be the other way around given his history with Danzo and the root I must keep him away from them as much as I can Lord third thought to himself.  

"We shall move to the next test, I will put you in a strong genjutsu to see how quickly you get out of it, but I have to say I'm not a genjutsu user so if you ask me I shouldn't be the one doing this." 

Shikaku said as he came back to the middle. "Well, don't go easy," I said 

"I never do." I knew shikaku Nara. They say that he's very merciless in battle. He could strangle an enemy to death without hesitating even when they were cowering or retreating, so I knew he won't go easy on me. 

Ryuu was put in a strong genjutsu cause shikaku knew he had the Sharingan, and yet he was able to break through the genjutsu almost instantly.

 I'll show off a little. 

Ryuu countered the genjutsu and amplified it a little, Shikaku could be seen sweating and shivering from fear he was surprised as he didn't expect to be countered by a mere child, but he could gather himself and broke out of the genjutsu, He was breathing heavily as he was trying to catch his breath.

The other Chunins and the Hokage himself could be seen curious and yet were also intimidated by my power at such a young age. Hmph, they haven't seen anything yet.

"Hokage-sama this child, he might just be a Jonin level ninja, he only lacks in physical traits and experience, if you ask me he's a powerful chunnin at best that's only without training and experience, I don't have a doubt that with enough experience on the battlefield he could become a powerful Jonin commander." 

The Hokage's eyes widened, the thought of having such a prospect in Konoha is breathtaking first the sannin honestly with all due respect out of the three only Orochimaru showed signs of being a great shinobi at first but then Minato and Kakashi Hatake are also prospects But him…

Ryuu, son of both Uzumaki and Uchiha, he is on another level. 

As hiruzen was dreaming about Ryuu and Konoha's future, the other chunin were arguing with Shikaku about what they should do with Ryuu.

On one side, the two chunins were saying we should promote him to at least genin or chunin. On the other side Shikaku said that he should still attend the academy because he's still a kid, and he will need to be with all his age mates.

"Enough!" the hokage finally spoke. "Ryuu is to attend the academy, shikaku is right, this will benefit him more than heading into battlefield, but he will have a perk, Ryuu can only attend when he wants to we cannot force him to enter classes that bore him imagine being forced to study everything you already know, But now because he's going there he will create many friendships and will interact with his agemates."

Shikaku nodded, and so did the other chunins. after all, they couldn't dare go against the Hokage plus even they should've known it was stupid to argue against someone from the Nara clan, especially when it's Shikaku. I walked out of the training hall with a smile on my face.

Kakashi was waiting for me at the exit. "What took you so long, Ryuu?" My eyes widened. I hadn't seen him for hours.

"I'll tell you later at home. It's a long story."

Kakashi nodded 

"Uncle!" 

Ryuu ran to give him a hug Sakumo was watching while holding Kakashi's hand."I'm going to miss staying with you and Aunt Mikoto." Fugaku was stunned."Hey, I told you not to call her aunt. We aren't even married." Ryuu just smiled and said, "it's obvious that you love her, just marry her already." 

Fugaku had a small blush thinking about her. "I'll have other living relatives and you'll have a powerful successor. It's a win-win if you ask me." I had a sinister smile on my face that. "Hey enough talk about my love life today is about you, isn't it?." He's trying to change the subject. I got him. 

"Anyway, I'm sure that Sakumo doesn't want to wait any longer, so I'll just keep it short, Ryuu we will miss you, Mikoto and I, in a way you're like my first son, even though we've lived together for a year you showed me what it's like to have a son and you've also reminded me what it was like to live with Hanzo, you're more alike than you think, I wish you could stay longer but I also trust Sakumo and I'm sure you and Kakashi will be alright as long as you have each other's backs. 

You're welcome to the Uchiha Grounds any time you want. After all, you are family." 

"Thank you, Uncle. I will never forget the time we had and I won't forget our family. In a way, you also reminded me of what it's like to live with my dad again. I'll be there anytime you need me." 

Ryuu turned his back and left with Kakashi and Sakumo.
