Chapter 6- Scanning And Novice Guide

Arc was now dealing with the person sitting at the reception of the teleportation station.

"So you are saying that you are a new guy here in this shelter chosen for 'Planetary Ascension', I thought you were just a rich folk who came here through the back door. Okay, so, Arc you can use that pod over there and click the button on it which will emit a signal and people from Earth will teleport you back. And here have this information page about shelter politics and a little overview for novice people." Saying this receptionist handed Arc a page.

Arc had not hesitated a little to accept that page after having a long conversation with her.

As he was just going to the pod, Arc heard a voice from back.

"Don't forget to burn this page after reading or you might get someone in trouble."

It was the receptionist who said this.

"I will keep that in mind," Arc said while smiling. In this little chat that Arc had with her, he always felt at ease and had no repulsive feelings while talking with fake people.

Arc laid in a pod made out of some solid glass with one blue button on it. He clicked the button and the whole glass glowed with a blue colour.

On earth, in some hidden facility.

"Sir, a signal for teleportation request is detected." A guy with a white long coat and nerd-like glasses said while being nervous.

"What are waiting for then? Just process the request and proceed with the teleportation." A man with the same dress as the boy said, but a slight change was that he had a golden star emblem on his coat.

"Sir, I don't know how to do that, I am new here," Boy said with an even more nervous tone while Turning toward his boss who was this man.

"Who let this boy work in this department of facility when he is just a new personnel? G-3, you go and operate in that area." Man said.

Another boy with cold eyes walked over to the place of the nervous boy and started working on the hologram images while setting the location of the teleportation to the current facility along with proceeding to scan the body of the person requesting the teleportation.

A robotic voice chimed in the facility.

{ Telepration would proceed after scanning is completed… }

{an error is detected in process… }

This voice about the error made everyone hold their breath in trepidation.

{ Patching the error with update… }

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. But then…

{ Update failed… }

{ Using main facility provision 109… }

{ Situation is resolved… }

{ Teleportation will begin in 3 seconds… }

{ 3 }

{ 2 }

{ 1 }

With the countdown ending. The pod that looked the same as the one on Tetra Planet glowed with blue light.

Arc suddenly appeared in that pod facility.

He can see that the place he has been in changed because the glass of the pod was transparent.

The pod opened by itself and Arc stood up from it and then started walking out.

All the people in this facility were used to people who are transported from other planets but they were now a little shocked because one who came was not some rough-looking man or strong woman but a boy wearing a bag who may still be in school according to what they guess.

The most shocked person there was the man with the golden star emblem, and he tried hiding his face with a face mask that was down before.

Man still moved forward toward Arc and said with a heavy voice.

"You have reached the secret teleportation facility of Faridkot city. As per standard procedure, we are allowed to check if you have brought any monster meat onto Earth. Go through that scan platform, and it will be done, and while you do that, one office person will introduce you to the rules of Earth for people who can travel planets."

After saying this, the man moved his desk. Arc felt something was wrong with man, but then he shrugged his this feeling as some mistake.

"Hey Follow me, I will guide you through the scanning process. Worry not, I don't bite." A boy in that facility said he seemed like the enthusiastic and energetic type of guy.

"No worries, I also don't bite back like Jack and pickle." Arc made a joke but his face was not participating in this. His face was blank from any expressions except one which was being tired because he hadn't eaten anything and had been walking for a long time.

Arc focusing on these thoughts realizes that when he thinks about Tetra like this, the air of that planet seems to be much more fresh and calming than Earth.

Arc came out of his thoughts after he noticed that boy who was supposed to guide waving his hand in front of him.

"Okay, let's go. I was a little lost in thoughts." Arc said.

Boy hearing this smiled in Arc's direction first and then he walked over to the scanning area and said, "You stand there on a golden circular platform and it will check your status and body for any beast meat smuggling ."

Arc followed the instructions and a golden circle ring appeared around him and it started going up and down around Arc's body scanning it.

"It will take a few minutes for it to complete the thorough scanning, so until then you can hear the basic introduction of the facility and information about the novice guide. Do you want to listen to it or skip this option for some songs from the system?" Boy asked Arc.

"No need to skip, I would love listening," Arc replied while feeling the circle moving around him.

"Are you sure, it can be quite boring," Boy asked in a childish tone like he heard something he could never expect.

"You can go, I will give him the information myself. He is a novice, so, he needs it." Man with emblem said.

The boy walked away from a man saying this without even asking how he knew that this boy was a novice.

"Hey boy, this planetary ascension is not some child play. It requires talent, patience and even more so good compatible martial arts to just survive. As for..." The man kept giving information to Arc about what could help a novice better and quickly adapt to it.
