A battle with a nightmare

At X's house, everyone that fell victim to Claire's attack last night had a hard time to remember what happen, but only a few remember. X woke up in his office and touched his face. He felt a burning sensation that he got hit hard last night and as soon as he checked his memory file; he realized what happened.

"Claire went on a rampage last night..." X said as he got out of his office.

He went downstairs since he wanted to make sure about the casualties.

"Yeap, this is indeed her work."

X looked behind the counter in the kitchen and the couch and noted the down the people that fallen victims to Claire's.

"Did she as well targeted everyone upstairs?"

As X tried to go upstairs, he then noticed that the basement door got opened and heard someone howl.

"That's got to be Maita..."

X kept going and checked the bathroom and found Dwight sleeping on the toilet and noted it down. Then he noticed 3 rooms almost before he saw the people in it and had everything noted down.

"Ok... so if she got everyone... were is Dj and Dennis?"

As soon as X said it, he heard a splash outside. He entered Dennis's room and opened the window to notice a pod crashed on the pool.

"Dennis birthday passes and the next thing I see in the morning is a crashed pod on the pool..." X said.

He saw a door opened and quickly spotted out Claire and jumped off the window.

"Well, its been hours since the last time I see you..." X said to Claire as she was taking a few steps back trying to protect the kids.

"Look... I don't want forgiveness, but right now we have bigger problems." Claire turned around to look at the kids being scared at start.

"Wait, you guys really found them? Now that makes things quicker..."

X pulled out his phone to call Dennis, but he didn't respond. He tried a few more times, but he still didn't respond.

"Dennis...?"

X said as he looked at the sky, but he changed his view to the kids approaching him. He took a step back and blinked twice out of confusion.

"Uncle X!!" They all said.

X's facial expression changed and greeted them all.

"It's been like what a year since you saw your aunt and uncle's? Everyone is a sleep right so don't wake em up."

They all nodded and went inside. X took his free time to get information out of Claire but he only wanted to know one thing only.

"Who did it?" X asked.

He got serious since the kids were finally gone.

"Look, before morning could have started we got abducted by a strange ball of light, we found them all we just remembered a few things of our past but that's not the point... Someone set it all up! I wish Dennis could solve this quickly, but he may be gone!"

Claire said to X in worry and anger. X looked down at the ground to understand everything, but he was focusing on Dennis.

"I get it, just leave this to us, take care of everyone for a while, ok?" X asked Claire.

He had a plan in mind, but he needed to make sure that Claire would take care of everyone in the meantime.

"Sure, but why didn't you ask Maita to do it?" Claire said.

"She won't be up for about 8 more hours." X said as he went inside the house. He looked in the living room but didn't see any of the children.

"They probably minding their business around the house..."

X pressed a button and made all the other versions of Dennis wake up and show up in the living room.

"Guys, we going for a small trip for about two weeks. Keep in mind... no words to no one, not even Dennis. We leave in 5."

X left to turn on the ship to take action into his own hands with the crew already set up.

"That last part you said is going to be complicated, X."

F.D said to X as he picked up Neko D and Kuo that are both still a sleep.

"He already got involved completely."

F gave a sinister smile and giggle out of excitement. He already for saw the outcome of this event.

"Its been only a few days since you showed up... but you damn know that someone is messing us right now."

X said as he saw everyone else get on board on the ship. As they left, they noticed a pod dropping from the sky. They all got to the window and payed close attention to it.

"Their goes Dennis..."

Wulf said everyone on board looked at him with the benefit of doubt that it was someone else.

"What? Don't blame me if you guys don't have enhanced eyesight."

Wulf sat down and putted on a hoody to cover his face from the light. As everyone else got ready, X turned on the ship and departed.

A few hours ahead Dennis was walking out of the office with Dj. Dennis opened the door to his left and dragged Dj in it. The room was a completely a white room with nothing.

"Ok, what was that all about?" Dj asked.

"We going to hunt someone down, I want you to play along till we figure who called us." Dennis said as he was trying to find a secret in the room.

"How?" Dj asked as he noticed Dennis opened something.

"For starters, we need to go now. Rules of the hunt is that we are as well going to be hunted." Dennis said as his face expression changed into curiosity as he tilted his head to see what was behind Dj.

"There's someone behind me, right?" Dj asked as Dennis nodded.

Dj quickly turned around and guarded as he received a punch that sent him towards Dennis.

"I ain't dealing with this today." Dennis got a hold of Dj and left.

As the room got filled with darkness and revealed a glow of red eyes. The opening was still open, and the hunt was about to start. Dennis and Dj found themselves in a mountain. They tried to identify if they know the location, but after they saw something in the sky, they knew that they are in a simulation.

"This is like in X basement." Dj said as he ended up setting his attention on the ground.

"Perfect place to train if you ask me, but the target is in this room and we have an enemy outside." Dennis said as he just turned around and noticed a black mist surround his legs.

"Well, Dj, do me a solid and call back up because theirs no way ima get out of this easy."

Dennis didn't fight back from being dragged away, but as soon as Dj was done sending a text he noticed that the thing that dragged Dennis left a trail.

"Not even a scream? He must have fun..."

As soon as Dj tried to go after Dennis. He ended up in an intense black fog.

"Dennis!! Can you hear me!!?"

Dj kept calling out to his friend but no response but in the distance he saw a clash of light. He could only think that it was Dennis fighting, so he didn't try to get in the way till he noticed a red glow.

"No..."

Dj was trembling in fear after he saw Dennis down on his knees while he was trying so hard to keep his body in balance with the sword.

"Dennis!!"

As soon as Dj gave one step, Dennis showed his hand at Dj that showed him to stop. As soon as Dennis could stand up to catch his breath. The creature that was fighting Dennis disappeared, and the fog went away with it.

"I hope you called them over here... Because I'm going to need a medic..."

When Dennis finished talking, he suddenly collapses. Dj quickly picked him up and went back into the house and waited.

One hour passed, Claire got the others to go with her and convince Maita to take care of the kids while they were gone. She was revising her phone in case something was wrong.

"Hmm... The building is gone, and the house resurfaced..." Claire said as she turned around to have a chat with the others.

"Are they really in that house?" Nidializ asked.

Claire nodded and passed her phone to her so that she can catch up of what's happening.

"Then what are we waiting for? Lets just go already." Owen said.

He was the first to make a move to go in. Claire tried to stop him, but she wasn't fast enough to get a hold of him.

"His right." Dwight said and followed Owen.

Claire feels disappointed. She wasn't able to stop both of them from going without caution. Soon after, Claire's phone received a message from Dj asking if they made it already. Then after, Dj opened the door and saw Owen and Dwight in the front door and let them in.

"We should go." Nidializ said as she pointed to the house.

"Alright" Claire agreed and got out from hiding.

As they entered the house, Claire and Nidializ noticed the boys near the couch trying to understand what happened.

"What's going on?" Nidializ asked.

"Look for yourself..." Nidializ paused in suspense after what she saw.

Claire got curious and approached from the other side to view what was on the couch. Her body froze in fear. She saw Dennis's body injured and unconscious on the couch.

"Dennis...? Hey... This is a joke... Right...?"

Claire slowly approached Dennis, she felled down to her knees and started crying over his body.

"I don't know if he will recover from this... He had a serious fight awhile ago, and he ended up like this..." Dj said as he tried to find away to calm her down.

"But he asked me to get you all here for you guys to train, with what I'm trying to say is that Dennis doesn't want to see us get hurt and he doesn't want us to see him get hurt."

Dj said the only thing Dennis wanted everyone to know. He then proceeded to the room he just left. No one didn't say something to prove of what Dj said was wrong but someone had to say something.

"You're right!"

Dj turned around and looked at Claire standing up as she was looking at him very frustrated.

"But why didn't you do something!?" Claire said as she was yelling at Dj.

"If you need to relieve your anger, you can blame it on me... But the thing is, how could I prevent this from happening if we are facing the unknown! At this rate it would take time for us all to just go-"

Dj stopped talking after he felt a gust of wind hit his neck. He turned around and saw the door open slightly, and he could only see that something was waiting.

"If you excuse me, I got to finish something that got started..."

Dj extended his left arm as his weapon was taking form, aside from the gloves he was forming a pole to fight. No one tried to stop him, but as soon as he entered, Dennis suddenly woke up. He looked at his surroundings and as soon he noticed he was laying down. He turned his sights towards his friends.

"Ok... You all have about ten minutes to save him."

Dennis had a stare that brings intimidation no one dare to question or say anything but time was running short so he just got up and went to the door.

"If the two of us don't come out... Don't bother making a grave..." Dennis opened the door and quickly shut it.

In the room it was completely pitch black, the only that could be seen was the enemy's glowing eyes.

"Dj!!! Can you hear me?!" Dennis yelled, but he heard no response. He took notice of footsteps behind him.

"Dj?"

Dennis turned around as he asked and got scratched on his right arm. He bite into his jacket to avoid screaming and continued to speak to himself in his head.

"Ok... the enemy is taking advantage of the darkness and sounds... that means that Dj is probably down somewhere..."

Dennis tried to focus on his senses to find his friend but he could only sense that the enemy was about to make another attack so he moved to his left slowly and pulled out his gun with his left arm, he pulled the trigger right in the spot and noticed that the room got lighter at the moment.

"Dj move!!" Dennis said to Dj as he was getting up.

Dj's instincts kicked in and sent an attack behind him that was a kick. Dennis got up and slide by Dj's side and shot the N.S that was almost deformed.

"Dennis..."

"Dj..."

They both looked at deep into each other's eyes and just nodded.

"Should we explain what we saw?" Dj asked.

"Nah, lets just get out and explain the training so that we can recover."

By just that, Dj and Dennis got out of the room and with a few injuries, they explained what they found but didn't mention nothing about the N.S and showed the room that was an active simulation.

"Ok we going to stay in here for 7 day's training, ill be in the other room working with a robot that I'm going to fix with Dj while recovering. I hope that you all get along, if you need anything, just say my name."

Dennis left there to the other room with Dj, and with that the training was about to start.
