(Sparkling Jewls Pov) {Hiroshima} [09.34]

The members of the Sparkling Jewels, their weapons at the ready and determination etched on their faces, swiftly prepared themselves for the upcoming mission. The sound of guns being reloaded, the sharpening of blades, and the clinking of armor being equipped filled the air, heightening the tension in the room.

A voice crackled through the speaker, announcing, "30 seconds until landing!" With that, their adrenaline surged, and they moved towards the hatch, anticipation building within them.

As the hatch opened, a rush of wind greeted them, and they felt the thrill of the upcoming battle. Stepping out onto the ground, they dropped into position, their training and instincts taking over. The impact of their landing sent a cloud of dust billowing around them, momentarily obscuring their figures.

But soon enough, the dust settled, revealing the elite androids of the Sparkling Jewels. Their eyes surveyed the surroundings, scanning for any potential threats. One by one, they confirmed, "Clear," their synchronized voices a testament to their coordination and skill.

As they made their way forward, a casual conversation unfolded between two members of the Sparkling Jewels. Their camaraderie is evident even in the midst of battle.

"Commander is such a slavedriver! Giving us tasks even after the battle," one of them remarked, a hint of playful complaint in Oceana's voice.

The other member Robert chuckled, glancing to their left to catch a glimpse of their smaller companion. "Well, even though you complain, I can see the eagerness with the way your sword."

After fighting side by side for a month, the bonds between them had grown strong. Their leader Robert recognized this and understood the emotions that their comrades carried, even without the aid of chips or upgrades. It was a talent unique to only him.

A hint of darkness crossed the face of Oceana who had expressed eagerness for battle. "Damn right, I am. I haven't given them even a fraction of what they deserve for what they did to our humans. I'm ready to beat the living hell out of them."

Paul raised an eyebrow, a mix of surprise and amusement. "Since when did you learn such foul language?"

A mischievous smile played on Oceana's lips. "Big Sister Eva taught me."

"Big Sister Eva?" The mention of Eva brought a sense of curiosity and wonder to Roza's voice. "Of all people, why her?"

"I asked her for some tips on how to improve my speech, and she told me that insulting the enemy and channeling my anger is the best way to go," the member replied a hint of amusement in their voice.

The other member raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the unexpected turn of events. 'Huh, I knew Eva was trying to learn the human language, but I never thought she would go this far.' Robert thought

A sigh escaped the first member's lips as they recalled the recent turn of events. "But I can't believe it! To think when we are gathering information and realizing that such a large-scale attack was imminent."

What ocean was right we had to rush back on foot to the base because all transportation was used to evacuate the non-combatant citizens and force us to be late to the fight.

As the Sparkling Jewels ventured on their mission, Paul's Scan picked up on a nearby machine presence. With a swift hand gesture, he signaled the team to halt and take cover. The team quickly assessed the situation, preparing themselves to engage the machine.

"Machine detected, approximately 500 meters ahead. Stay alert and maintain your position. Let's take it out swiftly and efficiently" Paul whispered to the team, his voice focused

"Let's neutralize it quietly and move on," Oceana added.

With their plan in motion, the team stealthily closed the distance to the machine. Roza positioned herself carefully, her Railgun aimed at the machine's body.

Roza's finger pressed gently against the trigger, and with controlled precision, her shot pierced through the air, finding its mark. The machine jolted, its circuits sparking as it collapsed to the ground, silenced forever.

"Good work, Roza. Let's continue with our mission." Robert said with a proud voice.

As they pressed on towards their destination, the concept of family lingered in the leader's thoughts.

Commander Ken had suggested that they refer to one another as family to enhance their teamwork. While it felt peculiar to use familial terms for beings not born like humans, the Sparkling Jewels decided to give it a try, starting with Big Sister Eva.

Eva, despite not possessing a physical body like the androids, held a senior position and had been working for far longer than any of them. When they first started calling her Big Sister Eva, even she was taken aback and questioned the reason behind it. But once they explained their desire for a sense of familial connection, she accepted it, as long as it didn't hinder her combat performance.

At first, the androids felt awkward using the term, but over the course of a few weeks, they grew accustomed to it. It was a peculiar and unfamiliar sensation, having something akin to a family, even if their connection was based on shared serial numbers.

As the Sparkling Jewels approached the YoRHa androids, Oceana's voice carried a mixture of excitement and familiarity as she greeted them, "9S! 2B!"

The YoRHa androids turned their attention towards the newcomers, their eyes assessing the battle-worn appearances and determined expressions of the Sparkling Jewels. It was 1D, the leader of the YoRHa squad, who took the initiative to introduce herself.

"I am 1D, the leader of this squad. And you must be the Sparkling Jewels?" she inquired, her tone carrying a mix of curiosity and acknowledgment.

Robert, standing tall and composed, stepped forward to respond, "Indeed, I am Robert, the leader of the Sparkling Jewels. It's a pleasure to meet you, 1D"

After the introductions, everyone headed toward the last known location of the captured soldier. However, they paused as they heard the sounds of intense gunfire and explosions in the distance.

They shifted their focus toward the origin of the commotion, and Robert's voice lowered to a hushed tone. "...So it begins

Their primary mission that was given to us was to rescue any survivors that we may find, but the GDI army was currently occupied with capturing Hiroshima, aiming to secure a pathway for the conquest of other cities and the expansion of their territory.

Robert's gaze rose to the sky, where a multitude of aircraft filled the airspace. Firehawk bombers were prepared for bombardment, Orca aircraft stood ready to provide close-range support, and V-35 OX transporters swiftly delivered vehicles to the battlefield.

"Commander Ken certainly isn't holding back," Paul remarked.

Concern laced Oceana's voice as she spoke, "...I hope they're all safe."

Confidence emanated from Robert as he reassured her, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "They must be, I am sure they will be fine."

Realizing the truth in his words, Oceana nodded. "You're right."

"Let's press on. We have a job to finish."

They then began moving toward their objective.
