Peeping tom

the day begins as usual. the chickens squalling and the Goat bleating in earnest as if they had a secret to share. when the sun also joined in on the fun, Joseph peaked through the cracks of his palm at the evil light. the sun did not only steal his wet dream but also deprived him of sweet rest. maybe his beef was never with the sun. it was the social norm about it that irked him. who said a man had to get up and about in the morning? anger laced his blood and whispered temptingly at him, "ah just roll the curtain". the only downside to that was how awake he would be if he tried to walk. a walk would not influence his alertness. it would only make him fall on his nose. the pain though, that would most certainly wake him up.

dragging his lazy self from the bed and awaiting the usual toe stab or face plant, he managed to get to the bathroom across the hall pain-free. but wait, was his bedroom door ajar the whole night? this time, a shiver run down his spine. his fear was justifiable. he lived with his stepmother who ....liked him too much. but a door ajar? that's ....*shivers*

a minute later he was laying on the couch with breakfast in his belly and the morning cartoon on tv. in a few minutes he had to get to work. his boss was looking for a promotion which meant his bum is fried. his boss was the kind that sucked the life out of the workplace. he wanted everything in order. with the most annoying OCD ever, his boss was predominantly surfing his hate list. at least Spongebob likes to work.

for a second he blinked once, then twice, then squinted to demand his eyes stop playing tricks on him. his boss was so not going through his belongings. if his boss was on the hate list. he just graduated to the kill list. fury slammed into him like never before. it wasn't that he had something to hide. he just felt a bit strongly about his privacy.

"back off"

with a startled look on his face, his boss wore the expression of the guilty. he stammered in vain to explain himself and ended up looking like a muppet.

"Mr Gibbons, I'm just...uh ...em you know....." his eyes were wide in fear and something else I was unsure of. for a graduate with a minor in psychology, his feelings were the last thing on my mind.

"hold on little one, I'm sure you have a little forgiveness in there." another voice flickered through to his brain and the cadence of it just made Joseph lose focus. it was her again.he was sure his eyes revealed his innermost thoughts.

for the longest time in his life, he had the worst kind of anger issues. it was like a dark cloud that hangs over his very soul. it is true that the nature of man was to think of their own feelings and strike out at others for not treating him right. the only problem with him was that he did not need the excuse of self-preservation to strike.

"a deep chuckle left his lips." his brain was having a slideshow of how soft her skin was to touch. The sensation that comes with sliding the pads of his fingers down her sides and searching breathlessly for her inner wrist. the little vein there heightens her blood flow as if to chase his fingers. no, he was not a vampire. but it sure felt like it when her blood nudged him. his body ready and willing to draw closer just to see how much he can give her. just like cold water, the sight of his boss dragged him form his peaceful halo into reality.

the emotional response was instant. his palpitating heart and his increased breathing said it all. he was visibly fuming, waiting patiently for the prey to make a wrong move, then his wrath would be upon him. that is, until melody placed a palm on his bicep. he was a goner. ah the very thread of control in his life was stashed in his incapable hands. it worked though, he was no longer fuming and he wanted to just disappear with her, his best friend.
