Chapter 01 - The beginning
Winterfell, home of the noble and honorable house of Stark, it is in this immense castle in one of its tallest and most beautiful towers that we find a beautiful boy, his long black hair and cold gray eyes contrasting against his pale skin, a common characteristic of the people of the north due to the always freezing climate.
It is like this in the midst of the falling snow that our little Jon Snow thinks about everything he has lived so far and about what he will do now that his world is turned upside down.
Twelve hours ago.
The day started normally for little Jon Snow, getting up with a small meal and heading to the practice field for another lesson with Ser Rodrick Cassel, the old winterfell knight and weapons master, already waiting for him.
Jon, although young, already demonstrates incredible talent and mobility in the art of the sword and thus arriving at the field of practice, the little child opens a smile for another day that is beginning.
Good morning, Ser Rodrick. (Jon)
Good morning to you young Jon too. Today I want you to start with a run around the field for 30 minutes. (Rodrick)
Jon, upon receiving the command, starts his task and starts running to warm up his body for the exhausting training that will be imposed on him.
All morning, Ser Rodrick would assign tasks to Jon and wait until he completed them, giving advice and correcting his posture whenever necessary.
At noon Jon, sweaty and exhausted from all his morning training with Ser Rodrick, returns to the castle, where he takes a quick shower and heads to the kitchen to grab something to eat, before starting his afternoon classes with Maester Luwin.
Maester Luwin's classes are peaceful and enjoyable for Jon, whose young, inquisitive mind actively and relentlessly seeks out new and interesting knowledge. Today Jon is studying about the mysteries of magic, although maester Luwin insists with Jon that this is nothing but myths and lies Jon continues to read fascinated thinking about so many things that would be possible and how interesting the world would be if magic were real.
At the end of his afternoon class with maester Luwin Jon heads to the dining hall for a meal before preparing for a night's rest so that tomorrow his routine can repeat itself as it has for ten years.
Little does Jon know that tonight everything will change, he can't wait that everything he's just read about magic is just a simple beginning, little does he know that today an old wizard is sitting next to his father Eddard Stark and that this one and seemingly simple old man will introduce you to the wonderful and intriguing world of magic.
