Even Randyll Tarly could not do anything facing these tactics and the war tools, and soon the Reach's army started to show signs of defeat. After the continuous killing for nearly two hours, Edward's left-wing managed to pierce the Reach's army's center and surrounded the headquarters from the back.

Seeing the situation in front of him, Randyll knew that they had lost this battle. Using his long experience, he ordered the army to retreat at once. The important thing here was to retreat with a large portion of their men and escort his lord, Mace Tyrell, back. He could not allow Mace to fall in the enemy's hand.

Randyll thought that with the Reach's capability, they could raise another army fast enough to counterattack. He had underestimated the young lord Baratheon. He had believed that Edward was just a young man with an arrogant attitude. But after seeing Edward's army and the new tactics that he used in battle, he would be cautious from this moment forward.

Although Randyll had this idea, which indicated his rational thinking, his plan would never work due to two reasons. The first was because Edward thought of this possibility before the battle. How could Edward ignore the ability of an experienced commander like Randyll Tarly? He knew that once Randyll saw the center fall apart, he would think of retreating and regrouping the rest of the army. So Edward thought ahead of the man and prepared a pursue unit consisted of five hundred men hiding in the bushes behind the enemy's line. They were experienced horseriders and among the best archers in the army. So once they saw Randyll and Mace retreating, they would attack them and capture the two commanders at once. The second reason was Mace's stupidity. He did not figure until this point that he fucked up, and his whole army was divided into different trapped units. Edward's army had already trapped most of The Reach's right-wing and part of the center while their left-wing had just started engaging Edward's right-wing not long ago. And with Elbert as the commander of the right-wing, Edward did not worry much.

"We have to retreat, my lord. The center got preached, and we would not be able to hold them." Said Randyll as he looked at the situation around him. He wanted to preserve as many men as he could. They still had the left-wing intact, and with the remaining soldiers, they could retreat with twelve thousand men.

"No, Do not you see that we are winning? We pushed their center and right-wing way back." Said the idiot, Mace Tyrell. He did not realize until this moment that Edward's right-wing was retreating from the start, but due to Edward's formation, the whole army seemed to be advancing rather than retreating.

"We do not have time, my lord. They will arrive here soon. We must retreat immediately." Said Randyll with a change in expression. He could not believe his ears. How could this idiot and attention seeker not see the situation in front of him?

Edward's horsemen and war chariots would breach their headquarter soon. The reason why Randyll Tarly did not lead the attack himself was; because he wanted to test his enemy at first. He did the same when Robert was the one who led the attack in the other timeline. When he saw that they were winning, he led the horsemen himself and harvested many lives.

But the situation was different at the moment. With Edward leading the attack and using many trump cards, The Reach's defeat in this battle was inevitable. So he decided to retreat rather than attack with his men.

"I told you we are winning. Are you blind or something?" Questioned the idiotic Tyrell as he looked at Randyll as if he was an idiot. How could he not see that they were winning and ask him to retreat?

Before Randyll could persuade Mace any longer, The war chariots and arrow launchers breached their fortification, followed by the rest of the horse riders. The men's screams could be heard from around the place. Shouts of agony could be heard here and there throughout the camp. Blood was decorating the battlefield while human parts could be seen around it. Edward's men were killing everything they saw. They would not stop and ask these people to surrender as this was war, and Edward would not go easy on them.

After seeing this scene, the idiot finally realized that he was scrawled. He did not believe that those men could defeat the center and reach this point this easily. After seeing that he pushed Edward's army back, he believed that he made a great achievement. But at the moment, all he could think of was running. Yeah, running and not retreating. He pushed his horse, making it run fast, leaving everyone behind.

After seeing Mace running like that, Randyll could only shake his head and ask the army to retreat before he started organizing what was left in the center to retreat with him. Randyll was an experienced commander and knew well enough that they needed those men if Edward's army decided to pursue them.

After he gave the order, he took who left from the knights around him and followed Mace. He wanted to save the idiot before he got attacked and got captured. But it was too late. The time Randyll Tarly took to organize the disarrayed army and give the order of retreat was what Edward's unit needed to launch an attack on the running Mace and the small number of men around him.

By the time Randyll got to the location, Mace was already in Edward's men's hands. Randyll was furious and was about to order his men to follow Edward's men to rescue Mace. But before he could do so, Edward's army came from the back. It was a pincer attack, and soon the knights and men started to fall one after another.

Very soon, Only Randyll Tarly and a few others were the only ones alive. They were still holding their swords. But after seeing the scene around them, they soon realized that there was no way out of this. So most of them decided to throw their swords to surrender one after another till Randyll was the only one holding his sword.

Robert and Lance were among the group who attacked Randyll and his unit. Listening to his lord's words, Lance ordered his men to stop the attack to let Robert take Randyll down himself. Edward had told him to let Robert show off a little since that would help him raise the people's expectations when he became the king.

It did not take long before Robert and Randyll started their duel. Lance decided to stay there if anything unexpected happened during the fight, but he asked one of his men to send the message to Edward, saying that they were done here, and they captured Mace Tyrell and in the process of taking down Randyll Tarly. After the man disappeared, Lance's attention returned to the fight in front of him. Although Randyll was a good fighter, it was not his strongest fort. He was a great commander and a good swordsman. But Randyll was not Robert's opponent in a melee fight, to begin with, so he was sure going to lose. Lance could see that Robert would win soon. He was only worried about Randyll's Valyrian Steel Sword.
