The truth is out and Mark disappointment

The words that came out of Mark's mouth left Lily confused.

She thought that Mark was serious and now he was joking with her.

"He got a system?"

"Who doesn't have one?! She has a system for everything." Thought Lily

P.N ( Lily thought Mark was talking about a daily system like a system for clothes arrangement and other daily jobs)

"Huh? You... How is that possible? Wait... Lily are we talking about the same kind of system?"

Mark was dumfounded after he heard Lily...." She though it's that kind of system?!"

"System is it possible to share my vision of the system with her?"

~ it is possible to show miss Lily your current "Missions" , "Inventory" Tab etc.... But she will not be able to interact or influence the system in any way"

"That's more than enough than"

"Let me show you something Lily. This is what I am talking about..."

For a brief moment Lily felt a small shock in her brain, it didn't hurt, it just felt.... Weird.

The next moment a virtual screen popped up in front of her eyes.

Lily was so scared she almost fell down from the chair.

"Mark!! You wouldn't believe this! Something just appeared in front of me, like a screen suspended in the air!"

Lily wanted to touch the projection in front of her but unfortunately her hands passed through it.

"Lily calm down, I know what you are talking about, this is what I was telling you, the system."

"Huh?! This is the system you were telling me about ?! I thought .... I thought its something entirely different!!"

15 minutes later after she calmed down Mark explained to her how he got the system .

He told her the whole story from the start, he also showed her his current " Mission" and explained some of the system functions.

"Incredible! Mark this is amazing. To think something like this could have happened to you."

"But why are you telling me this? Mark do you realize what possessing this system means? If others find out... I'm afraid..."

"Of course, I know and ... I trust you Lily, that's the reason I told you about it, also if I am to develop more games in the future I can't do it alone."

"I need people by my side, people I can trust with this secret. I need ... You Lily !"

"!!!? You need me?"

Lily's heart started accelerating. She liked Mark and she knew that by exposing the system to her Mark trusted her 100% not to talk to others about it.

"He said he needs me" thought Lily. A small blush covering her cheeks.

Mark was a little embarrassed that Lily miss understood, but he didn't correct himself.

Yes he needed her, more specifically he needed her skills in creating future stories for the games he will make.

Lily was also very creative so she could help him with some ideas about what games to make from time to time.

Its not like he is against a relationship with her but it is still too early for that.

Also the affection he had for her right now was nowhere near a girlfriend, it was more like very close friends.

"So, what do you say? Are you willing to help me Lily?"

"Mark... I... I need some time to think. This is not an wasy decision for me."

"Think? What's there to think about? Lily, this a great opportunity for us!"

"Maybe it is for you Mark."

"But I am just a normal girl from the countryside. Doing this also comes with it's own risks Mark."

"Give me 2 days to think, even if we can't work together, I promise to never reveal your secret."

"Alright…" said Mark a little disappointed.

If it was him he wouldn't need to think so much.

He told everything about the system to Lily because he trusted her and needed her help. But the moment he told her she was backing down.

In Mark point of view, Lily lost a few points. Right now he felt even more that him and Lily would not become a couple.

Even in his last Life Mark preferred ambitious people.

People who were not afraid to take a challenge face on. He was the same.

He was determined to become the greatest game developer no matter what It took.
