"We'll be there in a minute," says Mariano. Finn closes the door and Mariano looks back at me again.
When I still don't say anything, he casually places the black card inside my bag. "I'll cancel your credit cards so you better update your payment details to this one. I'll check your phone later."
Ugh! I want to punch him in the face.
He sees my scowl deepening and he adds, "I want to do this. Let me do this."
The tension in my forehead begins to bother me and so I put on my neutral expression and lift my chin. "I'm high maintenance."
"I don't mind." A small grin grows on his face.
"I shop a lot. Like a lot."
"I have money. Lots of it."
"Your phone is gonna blow up with notifications every minute from all the things I buy every single time. And you're going to regret giving this to me."
"I can mute the notifications. And I won't regret it. Trust me, it'll be an honor for me to do this."
