For the umpteenth time, Cassie let out a rough breath. Today was just as tiring as the other days.
Cassie's hand reached into the drawer in front of her. Inside there were several grains of medicine of different colors and sizes.
It would be a lie if Cassie said that she wasn't tired of taking these damn drugs. It had been over a year since she was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and since then her life had become increasingly gray.
Cassie popped a few grains of medicine into her mouth and drank some water to encourage her a little.
"Huft..."
Looking up at the ceiling of her room was one of Cassie's favorite times, there were some star decorations that she had put up with her mother.

"Mama... Kevin will like it, won't he?"
Mom chuckled at her little daughter's words, "yes, he will" she said looking at the baby boy lying on the small bed.
