Boom!
Bang!
If a general question were asked about which part of the country had the most movement, the concrete answer would be the area surrounding the nuclear armament, but primarily all the chaotic disorder was concentrated in Western countries. Right now, the place was a complete mess.
Gunfire could be heard everywhere, echoing between the buildings without anyone knowing exactly where the danger zones were. As a result, the walkers were highly agitated and constantly on the move.
Two unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) were flying over the area where Dominic was advancing, one of which had already fired several missiles to eliminate a large horde that had formed not far from the group's position.
The superior firepower of the combat drone was unparalleled. With these unmanned vehicles, Dominic had powerful armor at his base, and this gave him peace of mind now that the walkers had been dealt with.
As he suspected, things were far from normal. At this moment, after the walkers had invaded the front and directly attacked the group, everyone entered into direct combat. Only ten minutes later, all the undead had been wiped out.
Some suffered injuries, particularly the soldiers crushed by the numerous walkers. It's surprising that the Arm-3J combat suits and their variants protected the human body from bites and the occasional bullet impact.
Thanks to this special suit, many lives were saved, especially in situations like these. After everyone took control, the military trucks Jack had brought from the Beaver refuge lined up with the other military trucks that had been positioned to leave the area at any moment.
"Zz... Group to the north; the area is clear."
"Zz... No changes in the surroundings."
After all the walkers were eliminated and the sounds of the gunfire had stopped, the walkers in the surrounding area no longer approached. As for the giant monsters, they were all torn apart by the missile launchers.
It wasn't the prettiest method, but there was no denying that it was a great result, considering the disasters those giant walkers had been causing.
...
In the now quiet streets outside the building where Jack's group had taken refuge, soldiers patrolled slowly along the roads on both sides.
On the main street, an armed vehicle passed every few minutes, with a machine gun mounted on each Humvee, monitoring the area. Observing the movements at the surrounding corners, these vehicles closely watched the area and eliminated any walkers that appeared.
Currently, the condition of the sick was being reviewed, the injured were being treated, and a record was being made of the people Jack's group had rescued.
"All these people you captured should be part of the Wolves. From what I've heard from reliable sources, this group used to face the army before the government completely collapsed."
Jack was receiving medical treatment while detailing all the information he had gathered, including his own conjectures: "The Wolves' internal and external policies can't be clean. They've faced the army when they abandoned any efforts to find a cure for this."
"The Wolves want to kill them, all the high-ranking officials left in the army, but I think that won't stop them from killing innocents. They justify it as something humanity truly needs. Isn't that funny?"
Dominic sat nearby, silently listening to Jack's words while thinking to himself.
Do the Wolves exist in this world as an external organization to what remains of the army that still wants to continue searching for a cure? Dominic had never heard of anything like that, so he immediately thought it was something new he had discovered in this place.
Dominic might not know everything, but he did know what decisions he would make next. Thanks to the drones providing him with real-time information, he knew Reginald's base was in good condition.
Sam, from the central base, decided to provide support and, with a few missiles, eliminated the enemies gathering around, ensuring that the Beaver base wasn't completely destroyed.
After stabilizing the situation, Dominic monitored the areas near the Beaver base and was certain that despite their dire condition, they could recover.
For a long time, Dominic had been hearing about crazy organizations like these. He remembered hearing about them in France and now suspected they had a base in Britain that definitely needed to be monitored.
Now, this was his territory, a place he planned to take over even if the locals opposed his entry. No one had the right to stop his plan to cleanse the city. Who really wanted this chaos to continue? Everyone wanted to get rid of the walkers, clean up the places they slept, and restore order.
Everyone was afraid, something Dominic acknowledged without making excuses. However, they should at least try to see his external and internal policies. With a bit of explanation, they should all understand. If there were harsh measures for people who had survived until today, it wouldn't be too problematic.
Dominic always welcomed tough soldiers, survivors with strong character, and men with high levels of leadership. These people, in particular, were accepted and sent directly to a military base for training. Jack was a simple soldier who earned his promotion to captain by proving what he could do.
As a result, Dominic now had excellent work. Things like these were valuable, and the more his World Union expanded, the less likely it was for the Wolves to find them easily.
But now, Dominic had great anti-air defenses, drones, fighter jets, and even nuclear bombs. He had many hidden cards, so he wasn't afraid of being found by anyone. What he needed now was time, soldiers, and plans.
"It's no surprise. It's known that the Wolves eliminate communities with a high potential of armed men." After a moment of silence, Dominic said with an indifferent voice.
"What psychopaths are they?" Jack asked while putting on a long-sleeve shirt again.
"The Wolves are a problem, and we don't know much about them. It's said that they act against the order imposed by the former government, but they're just crazed terrorists hurting good people."
"Their modus operandi is peculiar; they don't accept just anyone. They only cause harm in pursuit of two things: either you join their cause, or they destroy a refuge, causing people to join them internally, just like what happened to the Beaver community."
Emma, who had already stabilized, looked at the commander of the organization to which she had sworn her life and said, "So, what will you do when we come face to face with these organizations?"
Dominic looked at Emma, smiled reassuringly, and said, "You already know. At the very least, the Wolves clashed with us, killed my soldiers, and injured innocent people. They will be eliminated."
When he finished speaking, Daryl entered the room and informed Dominic that two people had been placed in the room for interrogation.
Dominic nodded, took off his vest, put on a pair of black rubber gloves, and then looked at Jack. After thinking for a moment, he said, "Do you want to come and hear what our friends have to say?"
"Me?" Jack was very surprised. He looked at Dominic with a grateful expression and said, "I'd love to!"
"And you?" he asked Emma.
Emma looked at Dominic and nodded.
"Then let's not waste any more time!"
They all headed to the room where the leader of the Fireflies, who had attacked Jack's group, was waiting. Dominic said, "I always hate doing this, but I have a few questions for you."
"Mmmph!" The mouths of the two people were tied with cloths, and they looked at Dominic with visible fear in their eyes.
"Relax, I haven't asked anything yet."
