Elimination Operation Part 2

At the same time.

Outside Teddy's shelter.

Bang bang bang bang!!!

Boom! Boom!

The roar of the cannons was accompanied by a rain of heavy-caliber gunfire that filled the sky with smoke and dust. Stuart and his squad, a main target of the shooting, hid in the tower they had previously cleared and were pinned down by the surrounding enemies, unable to counterattack.

After saying goodbye to Dominic over the radio, Stuart and his squad secured the firing ports, as it was necessary to support their people outside. By the time these individuals realized they had infiltrated their shelter, they were in at least a defensive position.

Originally, Stuart's plan was to eliminate the surrounding people and then fire light machine guns at the enemy's critical points. With the cooperation of experienced snipers, it wasn't too difficult to deal with the enemies.

Of course, things unfolded as expected, but after he killed a few guards with a sniper rifle, once the container fell inside the mall, all the enemies started attacking the tower they were in.

"I'm hurt; I need help!"

Hearing someone scream for medical attention, Stuart, who had requested an attack report, had no time to relax as the main objective of all the enemies was to kill him first.

After holding off the attack, many of these people attacked like madmen, almost without stopping. Everyone did their best to halt their people's advance, which he didn't understand. Clearly, none of the people in this shelter surrendered, and they all preferred to take up arms and attack.

Dominic's people had explicit orders: after the main attack, everyone had to eliminate the enemies without stopping. The snipers bore the brunt of the casualties, especially those with anti-tank rifles, which were perfect for taking out modified vehicles with machine guns.

As for the walkers, they weren't a significant problem, as they were eliminated within seconds of appearing. Thanks to Dominic sending a group of people to quietly drive away all these walkers, there wouldn't be any issues in this confrontation.

Meanwhile, several Humvees with machine guns and soldiers entered the main plaza of the cult's base. Many had barricades, and the advance was slow. Occasionally, helicopters in the air would attack with some bullets and eliminate the most problematic barricades.

When Stuart knew the support had arrived, he descended the tower's stairs and joined his people to start issuing battle orders.

Unlike Dominic, who was facing dozens of people in the narrow building space, Stuart was dealing with the siege of hundreds of people in a wide area at the moment, and it was truly a war zone.

"The machine guns must target the enemy's heavy weapons; be careful with long-distance shots and enemy grenades!"

As he said this, Stuart moved to the left, where the situation was most complicated, and began to advance with his people slowly and without much haste.

Perhaps seeing Stuart advancing very quickly, some enemy heavy machine guns turned their barrels in his direction. He smirked and prepared to fire.

Boom!!

But before the machine gun bullets could be fired, a sniper bullet flew through the air outside the base and struck the head of the man operating the machine gun.

When the guard dropped the machine gun, two soldiers from Dominic's group took control at the tower's door and, under detailed reports, began firing at the people inside the mall.

At the same time, a shot was also fired from the building behind.

This time, from surrounding the enemy to facing them head-on, many of the present cult guards divided into three different groups and exited through hidden doors to surround the enemy and attack from behind.

The sound of violent gunfire spread from three directions simultaneously.

Bang bang bang bang!!!

Boom!

It could be said that for every soldier wounded on Dominic's side, twenty enemy people died, and for every death, Dominic's people killed thirty enemies. The experience, training, and equipment were very different after all. No one had vests or helmets that could save lives, so the difference was significant.

During this time, someone tried to set up a heavy machine gun in the high area of the mall, but they were shot dead by a sniper rifle before they could prepare to fire. After two people died in succession, no one took the initiative to man the machine gun, where the mortality rate was one hundred percent.

But after fighting, some cult members suddenly realized the enemy seemed invincible, and their numbers dwindled.

They were being slaughtered rapidly.

Additionally, several sniper rifles continued harvesting their comrades' lives. Just now, relying on the rear attack of their people accompanied by a strategic surprise attack, they thought they could turn the general situation of this battle around. But that attack never came; soon, some people couldn't withstand the pressure and immediately turned around and fled.

When one person commits an act of cowardice, there are two, then three. After the first person escaped, another fled immediately. The remaining people who were still fighting saw this and prioritized their interests. How could they sacrifice themselves for others? They also opted to scatter and escape as best they could.

This time, one by one, they turned their backs on the enemy, and they all became moving targets.

This battle arrived quickly and ended extremely fast, at least outside the mall, but it's not too strange to think about.

The guards maintaining security outside the mall numbered at least two hundred men and women with weapons who had no combat experience, at least not in a war zone, so they quickly died under enemy fire. On the other hand, Dominic's people had experienced soldiers who had been in well-known wars, many deployed in areas where there were daily shootings.

A few minutes later, when the last cult member was killed, it was considered that the battle outside the mall had ended.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Don't forget to damage their heads; we don't want these bastards turning into the undead and delaying us when loading supplies from this place."

"Yes, sir!"

Quickly walking towards Teddy's room, Dominic and his people inside watched Stuart and the others achieve victory in less than ten minutes of fighting. He raised his hand, checked the time, and then took his radio and said, "Zz... This is no time to celebrate. I need you to take the watchtowers and advance carefully. There are many people in the mall who may be waiting for the right moment to ambush you."

"We need to be careful..."

But as if Dominic's words had magic, a series of numerous shots came from many mall windows towards Stuart's convoy, causing numerous injuries and some casualties. This attack was unexpected, as it would be very risky for the enemy.

The confrontation seemed to resume, but Dominic couldn't worry about that side of the battle, knowing his people would handle it easily.

A man advancing with Dominic looked up and saw the numerous cages modified to be a sort of cell and asked, "But what should we do with these people?"

Hearing this, Dominic turned his head to look and discovered a dozen survivors with dark, tattered clothes and helpless faces slowly emerging from the ruined building.

"These people should be imprisoned here by the cult of this place; we don't know their nature after all."

Looking at these people, Dominic thought for a moment and said, "Go and tell them we're at war with the cult, and someone will free them after this battle is over. If they want to stay here and wait, they can do so. If they don't want to wait and can leave this place on their own, now is the time to do so as well."

"Let me try, sir..."

Hearing this arrangement and thinking about the indifferent and fierce faces of Dominic and the soldier he was talking to, a woman named Tamara stepped forward and walked toward the bars of this room.

After speaking with the prisoners, numerous depressed faces showed joy upon learning that the cult's enemies were reasonable, and they even volunteered to fight against them.

"We're almost at Teddy's office; we must not delay," said Dominic after resuming the attack.

...

By then, the attack was showing very clear signs of victory for Dominic's people.

The team that wanted to ambush Dominic's people was massacred in seconds, thanks to the helicopter's surveillance. It was truly a foolish idea to do it this way.

"It seems everyone is being slaughtered!"

Witnessing the level of power and attack of the people Dominic had chosen, Nick, who was with his sister and Daryl in a building with the other snipers, looked at the corpses on the ground, and his nervous mood eased. He looked at his sister and then at the people in this room.

"Good news: most of the combat-skilled people have been killed."

"I hope we get what we came for and leave this place as soon as possible. I don't like how this place feels," said Alicia as she looked at the attack's result.

"Maybe you're right..." Daryl murmured in a hoarse voice.
