Chapter 69 – Kagura and Souya

 A few days later, on a school day, it was rainy. Rain poured down from the sky. Tohru, Kyo, Masayuki, Emiko, and Souya are walking towards Shigure's house from school. Masayuki and Souya are wearing some extra long-sleeved clothes due to the rain and the cold. Yuki and Handa are at Kazuma's dojo for their martial arts training. Tohru felt relieved about her efforts on her makeup test from a few days ago. She felt indebted to Masayuki and Yuki for that.

Then, Kyo opens the door, but Kagura was inside, so he freaked out and shut it immediately. His fear of her kicked in. Seeing the door being shut so suddenly, Tohru, Masayuki, and Emiko freaked out and became worried about Kagura behind the door.

 "I-Is she alright?"

 "Kyo-senpai, why did you do that to Kagura-chan?"

"Is she okay?"

Souya, however, was confused by Kyo's action instead.

Hearing the name, Souya now got it and thought, "Wait, there's a girl behind that door?"

 Kyo didn't want to open the door and see Kagura, but it didn't help out because Kagura punched through the door with a scary and furious look on her face. Kyo notices that, and he was a little scared of her. Tohru and her two loving and supporting cousins were also scared of Kagura as well, while Souya was not and instead, she was intrigued by Kagura's personality.

 A bit later, all of them are now inside the living room. Tohru and Emiko are preparing some hot tea. Masayuki was making sandwiches with some hazelnut spread and white bread. Souya was sitting down watching Kyo and Kagura, and Shigure was there reading his newspaper. Kagura couldn't believe that Kyo started to avoid her. And so, out of frustration, Kagura lifted the low, dining table towards Kyo.

Tohru and the others, except for Shigure, were shocked with fear to see that.

 "Woah, Kagura-chan, calm down!"

 "Yeah, please calm down and cut it out!"

But then, in order to calm things down, Shigure grabbed Kyo and "gave" him away to Kagura.

It did the trick, and Kagura eventually calmed down and put the table down, before hugging and snuggling Kyo in embrace.

Kyo didn't like it, while Masayuki and the others were stunned at Shigure's quick solution and thinking.

And then, all of them had a teatime.

They drank tea and ate sandwiches.

 And then, after that, in order for Kyo and Kagura to get along once again, Shigure asked Kagura to take Kyo with her to a supermarket to do some grocery something. Kyo disagreed with that idea, but Kagura agreed. So, she took Kyo with her and ran out of the house and to the supermarket they went, destroying the front door along the way. Tohru and the others were shocked at this while Shigure likes it. And then, Shigure noticed the damage Kagura made on the front door of his house and decided to deduct some money from Kyo's and Kagura's family and individual bank accounts to pay for the repairs. Tohru, Masayuki, and Emiko were stunned to hear that, and Shigure explained to them about it.

 Then, worried about Kyo's well-being of being with Kagura, Masayuki said to Souya, "Come on, Souya-chan, let's go after them to make sure that Kyo-senpai is okay." Souya nodded in agreement, and she and Masayuki went to the front and put on their shoes.

 "Where are you two going?" Shigure asked them upon seeing that.

 "We're going after them." Masayuki put on his extra, black-and-dark grey, long-sleeve, and buttoned-up shirt.

Souya put on hers, too, before she and Masayuki stood up and left the house to go after Kyo and Kagura.

Tohru watches this from the kitchen, and she becomes worried about Kyo as well.

Emiko also became worried about Kyo, and Masayuki as well.

 Meanwhile, Kyo and Kagura are now in a supermarket shopping for food. Kyo felt so uncomfortable about it while Kagura was happy and positive about going on grocery shopping with him now. Masayuki and Kagura, meanwhile, are now on the way to that supermarket. And then, a bit later, after Kagura had said something, Kyo snapped and shouted back at her in front of everyone in the supermarket. A lot of people sees that, and Kagura, in response, feels embarrassed and rubs her fists against Kyo's ears while telling him off for doing that in front of everyone. Then, Masayuki and Souya came in time and saw what was going on.

 "Oh no…" Masayuki commented.

 "What is she doing?" Souya added.

Masayuki then shrugged.

And so, after that, Kyo and Kagura got out of there with their basket of groceries.

Seeing that, Masayuki and Souya followed them from the behind.

 Later, after paying for their groceries, Kyo and Kagura are now walking back to Shigure's house. They then both had a conversation on their childhood and how they met. And then, Masayuki and Souya catch up with them.

 "Kyo-senpai!"

Hearing that, Kyo and Kagura stopped walking and turned around.

 "Masayuki-kun?"

 "What are you doing?"

 "Are you okay?" Masayuki walked closer towards Kyo.

Souya did the same thing, too.

 "Yes, I am okay," replied Kyo back as calm and nice as possible towards his kouhais. "I was just…scared, that's all."

To that Masayuki and Souya sighed in relief.

Then, Kagura looked at Souya and asked, "Who are you?"

 "My name is Souya Aikawa," replied Souya back nicely and positively. "You're Sohma Kagura, right?"

 "Yes, how did you know that?"

 "I heard it from Masayuki-kun and the others."

 "Oh, okay."

 "Well, you're scary, aren't you?" Souya asked like a delinquent.

In response to that, Kagura grabbed Kyo's right arm and answered, "Yes, and I am in love with this guy."

Kyo was once again uncomfortable by this, and Masayuki tries to calm things down.

 "Okay then," Souya replied in accepting Kagura's response, "nice one."

Kyo was not happy at Souya's lenient response.

And so, the four of them started walking back to Shigure's house together. Masayuki helped out by carrying one of the grocery bags while Souya is now interacting with Kagura. At this point, Souya and Kagura had something in common: they can be scary to the ones they cared for. And also, Masayuki is now getting on how close Kyo and Kagura are, and he understood that.
