A complete ordinary, or an extremely lucky

Ryo: "I'll bring you into the guild." 

Haru: "Really?" 

Ryo: "Yes, I never break my promises... Now, give me your arm. I'll perform the guild initiation ritual." 

Haru gives his arm to Ryo. 

Ryo rolls up Haru's sleeve: "We have many enemies; don't make it obvious... You don't want everyone targeting you." 

Haru: (This seems dangerous, but I need help.) 

Ryo scratches his finger and draws some tattoos on Haru's arm: "Alright, boy, get ready. This will hurt a little." 

Haru: "W-What..." 

The tattoos glow blue, and Haru screams and writhes on the ground. 

Haru: (The pain is indescribable, spreading and deepening... My muscles, bones, organs, throughout my entire body.) 

Haru calms down and slowly catches his breath. 

Ryo: "Is it over?" 

Haru, in a broken voice: "Yes." 

Ryo: "Great. How do you feel now?" 

Haru: "I feel like my body is filled with energy." 

Ryo: "That's what joining the guild does... Alright, you can go now. Walk forward in the cave without taking any turns, and you'll reach a bustling city. Prove to me you deserved to join." 

Haru: "Okay... W-Wait, what's the guild's name?" 

Ryo: "Didn't I tell you yet... We are the Black Pyramid Guild." 

Haru: (What a suspicious name) "Alright, Ryo... See you soon." 

Ryo: "I expect more than just one attack next time." 

Haru smiles: "Definitely." 

Haru and Ryo part ways. 

Ryo: (It's good to bet on newcomers like him... If he's truly talented, he'll be useful to me. If not, he'll die somewhere in his way.) 

Haru walks inside the cave: (This is the worst start I could have. First, that killer named Shawn, and I know nothing about Leia except her name. Now Ryo and the Black Pyramid Guild.) 

Haru exits the cave after a long walk and finds a city with many buildings surrounded by trees and gardens. 

Haru: "Wow, this is what I've been waiting for from the beginning." 

Haru sees a small slimy creature. 

Haru: "This must be a level-one monster... No more killing huge beasts." 

Haru raises his sword. 

A girl shouts: "What are you doing? Stop!" 

Haru: "What's the matter?" 

The slimy creature runs toward the girl and jumps into her hands. 

Haru: "Aren't these the monsters that will help me level up?" 

Girl: "Who looks for monsters in a populated city, you idiot... Go to a monster cave or a tower or something... This is my pet, Zeto." 

Haru: "Can you tame monsters in this world?" 

Girl: "This isn't taming; I just befriend them." 

Haru: (What a weirdo) ... "Sorry, I almost killed your pet by mistake." (Speaking of pets, how is my cat doing? It must have died of hunger.) 

(His cat left the same day and was adopted and cared for by an old woman.) 

Girl: "Yes, you should be sorry... How do you not know these basics, by the way?" 

Haru looks at his sword: "Do you mean this... I was just lucky. Someone gave it to me." 

Girl: "There aren't many friendly people here... My name is Akane. What's your name?" 

Haru: "My name is Haru. Nice to meet you." 

Akane: "Nice to meet you too." 

Haru walks with Akane in the city. 

Haru: "By the way, do you know a girl named Leia?" 

Akane: "What kind of question is that? What are the chances that I know her?" 

Haru: "You're right. I just wanted to break the silence." 

Akane: "Does she use daggers?" 

Haru: "Yes, she uses daggers." 

Akane: "She's somewhat famous because she's in the Dragon Claw Guild... She's one of the few friendly people I've met here." 

Haru: (She really is a big shot in this world.) 

Akane: "But for some reason, my intuition tells me she's hiding something, something bad." 

Haru: "Maybe your intuition is wrong about her." 

Akane: "No, my intuition never fails, but I just don't have any proof." 

Haru: "I don't know. I didn't feel anything bad about her." 

Akane: "Have you met her already?" 

Haru: (I can't tell her that she saved my life it's kind of embarrassing.) "Someone told me about her." 

Akane: "How can you trust your intuition like that? You should meet her at least once." 

Haru: "Maybe you're right... What does your intuition tell you about me?" 

Akane: "That you're a very ordinary person." 

Haru: "Well, that's not bad... Come to think of it, I thought my life here would be different from my previous life... But it doesn't seem different at all in the aspect of being too ordinary." 

Akane: "Don't worry, you'll get used to it." 

Haru: "You mentioned monster caves and towers earlier... Where can I find one?" 

Akane: "You'll need a lot of help to defeat a cave monster or go inside a tower." 

Haru: "wont the two of us be enough to go inside a cave?" 

Akane: "Don't count me in. I stopped entering caves... I want to live a peaceful life here." 

Haru: "No problem. You can just rely on me." 

Akane: "You have a lot of confidence for an ordinary person... Your sword may look good, but you're still a beginner." 

Haru: "Don't kill the fun." 

Akane: "Listen, if you want to find a cave or a tower, joining a guild will make it easier for you." 

Haru: "But I'm already in a guild." 

Akane: "Really? Which guild accepted you?" 

Haru: "It's the Black Pyramid Guild." 

Akane: "what? It's one of the strongest guilds around, for an ordinary person this counts as a lucky shot." 

Haru: "Maybe this is my secret skill in this world." 

(In one of the caves) 

Leia is killing goblins using her dagger. 

Many goblins gather around Leia, and a swordsman slashes them. 

Akira: "Are you alright, Leia? You don't seem like yourself." 

Leia: "I dropped my second dagger in one of the caves." 

Akira: "Damn... It's made of very rare materials. You'll have to search for it." 

Leia: "Yes, I already planned to do so." 

Akira: "Luckily, this cave isn't a high-level cave. Let's finish it quickly." 

Leia: "Let's go." 

Leia and Akira enter a large room and find a big goblin sitting on a throne. 

Akira: "He must be the boss." 

Akira rushes towards him at full speed. 

The goblin gets up from the throne. 

Akira strikes the goblin's left leg. 

The goblin raises his right leg, and Leia's dagger hits him in the eye. 

The goblin steps back. 

Akira climbs up the goblin, slashing him with his sword. 

Akira reaches to the goblin's shoulder, stabbing the sword stabilizing it making a footstep for himself, then jumps on the sword, and grabs the dagger pulling himself upto reach the goblin's head 

Leia: "You've improved a lot." 

Akira climbs onto the goblin's head, pulls out the dagger, and stabs it into the goblin multiple times. 

Akira pulls out the dagger from the bleeding goblin and throws it back to Leia noting: "You don't want to lose this one too, right?" 

The goblin tries to grab Akira, but he jumps back onto his shoulder. 

Akira grabs his sword, pulls out half of it, then stabs it back in, slicing the goblin's neck in a half-circle motion, making the goblin fall to the ground. 

Leia: "Your style is very bloody." 

Akira: "Come on, Leia, it's just a goblin."
