Completely Fallen into Coma
Despite spending vast sums of money over these years, there had been no progress whatsoever. While they had developed a remedy that could suppress Cynthia's disease outbreaks, it also came with certain side effects. They had tried over thirty different medications on Cynthia before settling on the current pills she was taking.
Professor Scott Bass looked at Cynthia with a troubled expression. "Miss Shannon, actually, we have a bold idea..."
Before he could finish, Cynthia took off her coat. "Let's do it."
Just as she took a step forward, Jacob grabbed her wrist. "Cynthia, the experimental data is still being tested. I don't think you need to take such a risk. If anything were to go wrong..."
"Let's be optimistic," Cynthia smiled gently. "What if this time it unexpectedly works out?"
With that, she lightly patted Jacob's hand and walked into the experimental chamber.
