ROYAL BLOOD
Vanora gave Rexana a tour of their kingdom under the sea.
"This is your place, one day you will lead them. You will be their queen."
"Queen? Why should we, a queen, lead them? Why not a king? There was a merman all around and I am pretty sure they were stronger and more capable than me. They grew up here and they were pure-blooded mermaids and I am not." Rexana explained to her mom.
She did that not because she was scared of handling responsibility. She knew she could learn and can also be capable. However, it wasn't part of her plan to stay there. She had some more important things to do in her life.
"Rexana, even though you are not a pure-blooded mermaid. You are the only one here who got the blood of Neptune. You are meant to lead and your offspring too." Valora slowly held Rexana's stomach as she closed her eyes to feel the little life inside her daughter.
