AS PAINFUL AS INFLAMED FLESH
All that Rexana did was wait. Whether she was inside her little hut or outside on the beach. She still kept on wishing that Daerin would come. However, it had been days since the last time he promised that he would, yet, he never showed up.
It made Rexana more worried and lonely, she wondered why he never showed up. She had been praying that nothing had happened with Daerin and that everything was fine but more than that she missed him. She was dying to see him again.
She didn't feel like diving and getting pearls for days, because she wanted to be at home when Daerin came and it was starting to cause problems in their home. The stock of food that they had was almost gone. Rexana knew that she had to go to the beach, dive for pearls and sell them. Simply because her family needed it.
