Raging Battle
His thoughts drifted to how the Midnights had managed to coordinate such an assault, the timing too perfect, too precise. There was something off about it all.
A soft beeping interrupted his thoughts, and he looked down, his eyes narrowing as he saw a small robot spider approaching. He only had a split second to react before a needle shot out from the spider's back, aimed directly at him. Alexander's hand moved faster than the eye could follow, snatching the needle mid-air. Pain shot through his arm, a jolt of electricity running along his skin.
He clenched his jaw, ignoring the pain as he crushed the needle in his hand. Without hesitation, he moved to stomp on the spider, but before his foot could make contact, something struck his shoulder—a flying kick that threw him off balance.
Alexander stumbled, his feet sliding in the mud, his gaze snapping towards his assailant—a young man with a smug expression, his stance casual but confident.
