Ty adjusted John on his shoulders, feeling the weight of his friend as they made their way back toward the kingdom grounds. The forest had begun to thin out, the path ahead becoming clearer as patches of moonlight flickered between the trees. They walked in relative silence for a moment, the distant sounds of the tournament still faintly ringing in their ears.
"We never really got to see how it looked," Ty said after a while, breaking the quiet. "The kingdom grounds, I mean. When the tournament started. That attack happened before everything really kicked off, and then we moved out right away."
