The Golden sacrifice

Goldie lashed out a burst of blue energy toward the slithering purple serpent. The blast hit Vincent in the chest, knocking him backward. He hit the floor with an ear-splitting hiss. He hauled himself up, wincing from all the slashes and cuts. He slouches over and breaths heavily. "I will . . . fight until . . . the end.", he manages to say. You help Goldie from off the floor and whisper to him, "You alright?" He nods but doesn't look at you. You look down at his side and gasp. There is a gash in his abdomen with black liquid oozing from the wound. "You are not fine! You're going to die if you-" Goldie put a finger to your lips and says, "I'll be fine, (Y\N). Don't worry about me. Worry about yourself." He takes a step forward and groans in pain. Then, he takes a deep breath and stands his full height. He glares at Vincent and says, "I will kill you if it's the last thing I do. And it might be." Vincent roars and charges. Not at Goldie. But, at . . . you. You throw your hands up to protect your face and nothing happens. You slowly open your eyes to see your not in the party room. You're in a large room with crates. You run to the door and bang on it. "Goldie!!! Let me out! Hey!", you yell. You look around frantically you for some kind of way out. You groan and slam your fist on the metal door. You slide down the door and sigh. You chuckle and think, no fair Goldie. Trying to take all the glory for yourself. Well, you can have it. Just don't die. Please . . . Your vision gets blurry as exhaustion takes over your limbs. You manage to turn around so that your back is against to door before your eyes flutter shut . . .
