my name is Tilly

After saying the name out loud she immediately knew her name was Tilly, but beyond her name she couldn't remember anything else.

While still staring at her reflection her hands slowly reached up and began combing bits of debris out of her hair . Her smooth olive skin and large eyes gave no more information to her origin. Slowly sliding one finger down the slope of her button nose she drew her eyebrows down perplexed as to why she had no recollection of her past or how did she get here and most importantly where in the world was she?

Satisfied with the hope there was a possibility that her memories may return she quickly cupped her hands and began sipping from the river. After a few moments to rest and regain some clarity Tilly needed to decide if she wanted to follow the river down stream towards hopefully civilization or track up the river to see if she can gain higher ground to get a better idea of the lay of the land.

Tilly stood up slowly and began to ponder in her mind. "If I got up stream there is a possibility I might end up having to back track to far" ,although she still would like a better lay of the land. "Why not try to climb one of these trees" she thought out loud. Tilly ripped a piece of her gown off and began making strips and braiding them together. After she had made a long strip she then wrapped it around the trunk of a large tree that surpassed the height of the surrounding ones and held on to each end of the make shift rope . Holding the ends thightly, Tilly began slowly shimmying up the tree. Careful not to lose her grip when she got to the branch she wanted to stand on. Once she was positioned on the sturdy branch Tilly peered out across the vast forest and noticed miles out in the distance some smoke rising into the morning sky. It looked to be about a three day journey on foot and more than likely she would run into civilization before entering a village or city.

Tilly pondered to herself, how could she possibly be three days away if she only felt like she had been warmly wrapped in the blankets of her bed last night. Something wasn't right and she needed to figure out more to piece together her past.

she slowly made her way down the giant tree and once she finally stepped to the ground she looked around the forest and Al thought she didn't see anyone she felt a presence and tried peering deeper into the forest. She was tempted to say something to draw the person out but in the end decided she was just exhausted and paranoid.

Quickly Tilly ripped away the bottom of her sleeping gown to make it easier for her to move through the brush. She found a nice walking stick and began following the river to hopefully a village of people who could tell her where she was, maybe if she was lucky it would help her remeber who she was.
