By the time the car Jing Lingli took got to the police station, Mo Moyan had already being led into station and was locked in a cell and so wasting no time, she jumped out of the car and run into the building.

Once she was inside, she approached the police officer who was at the counter and tried to reason with him.

" You people are making a huge mistake here. Miss Mo is innocent and you have to let her out now, " she stated, panting heavily.

" Young woman, you better keep quiet here else you'll end up in the cell with her, " one of the police officers fired at Jing Lingli, making her snort coldly and roll her eyes at him in disgust.

She had never liked the police because most of them were known to be dirty and corrupt.

In fact, she knew the only reason they arrested Mo Moyan was because they had been paid to.

Well, they should just wait till her husband shows up.

They are going to be in some really big trouble.

Comforting herself with the fact that the CEO was on his way and will be there soon enough to save her boss, Jing Lingli, although disappointed she couldn't convince the police officers to let Mo Moyan go, slowly turned around and approached the cell she was being held in.

" I'm really sorry you had to go through this, miss Mo, " she quickly apologised to Mo Moyan while rubbing her hands gently to comfort her. " I've already called CEO Lu and I'm sure they'll be here soon, " she added and right at that moment, Lu Jin's car sped to a halt in front of the station.

Seconds later, he stormed into the station and upon seeing his wife locked up in the cell, his face immediately darkened.

Without a single word, Lu Jin slowly marched towards the police officer who had shut Jing Lingli up earlier and with no warning whatsoever, landed a hot blow on his face, sending him flying into the wall.

Seeing what had happened, the rest of the police officers suddenly got up to defend their colleague, however, before any one of them could even get close to Lu Jin, Harry Long walked in at that very moment and immediately they saw him, they all froze in shock and it was then that they all took the chance to take a closer look at the man they were about to attack.

To their utter dismay, they realised it was none other than Lu Jin, the Lord of the entertainment and business world and in an instant, their faces became red with embarrassment and horror as they were hit with the harsh realisation.

They have messed with the wrong people.

Knowing that they were in huge trouble, they all retreated back in fear, the bodies shivering with fright.

Hearing the commotion, the superior in charge at the station who was in his office at that moment decided to come out and the moment he realised what was going on, he tried to diffuse the situation by quickly apologising.

" Mr Lu, we're so sorry for our rudeness. We absolutely had no idea you were the one. Please, do forgive our ill behaviour, " he pled, however, Lu Jin who was beyond furious due to the inhumane way they had treated his wife, snorted in contempt, ignoring the sincerity in his voice.

Their reckless actions have clouded his better judgement and because of that, he was in no mood to hear their so called apologies.

If there was someone they needed to direct their apologies to, it was his beautiful wife not him.

Not wanting to waste anymore time, the still angry Lu Jin quickly pointed towards the cell Mo Moyan was in, and sternly said, " Release my wife right away. "

" Your wife? You-you mean-you mean that lady is your wife? " the superior asked, beads of cold sweats forming on his forehead, his legs shaky and wobbly.

So this is how it'll end for him?

He had spent 30 years in the force avoiding trouble after trouble and this was how he was going to go down?

" You, quickly get the key to that cell and let Mrs Lu out... faaaaaaast, " the superior quickly barked out the order to one of the lower ranking officers, then turning towards the rest of the officers, he asked in an enraged tone, " Who the hell arrested Mrs Lu and brought her here? "

There was silence!

At this point in time, the police officers who had gone to make the arrest were all too afraid to even say a word.

The sheer knowledge of them being the ones who mishandled the wife of the most powerful man in all of the country and beyond left them visibly shaken and in shock.

In fact, they were too stunned to speak.

" Which one of you morons are responsible for this atrocious behaviour, huh? Who amongst you arrested Mrs Lu? " the superior demanded once again and yet still no one spoke up, making him livid. " Are you deaf? Or do I need to punish you all by suspension before you speak up? "

" Uh, actually that won't be necessary... fortunately for you, you won't need to punish anyone because you all have lost your positions as police officers, " Lu Jin declared, making everyone suddenly look up at him with widened eyes that were filled with dread and regret.

At this point, they all wished they could go back in time and change their fate but then they couldn't. It was already too late and there was nothing they can do that can save them.

" Mr Lu, I know my boys went too far by arresting your wife and locking her up but please you don't have to take our livelihoods from us. This is the only work we have that helps us feed our families. If we lose this job now we might not be able to take care of our wives and kids and even our mothers and sisters. "

" You should've thought of that before you harassed my wife, " Lu Jin stated coldly. " Now, the moment I turn my back and walk out of this place, I want you all to leave your badges and guns and find your way home, wherever that may be. Should my bodyguards show up here after I'd left and see anyone of you still around, they'll beat you up, slowly break your bones and make sure you're in immense pain and are unable to walk ever again, " he warned, then turned around to go meet Mo Moyan.

The instant his eyes beheld her, his eyes softened and he felt a knot of pain in his chest seeing how sad she looked.

How dare they mistreat his wife?

How dare they lay their filthy hands on her like she was a criminal?

In fact, he was going to bury them all alive if it's what it'll take to make them pay for what they did to his precious beauty.

In the meantime, when Mo Moyan who was completely traumatised by the ordeal she had been through saw Lu Jin approaching her with his eyes full of love and affection, her heart skipped a beat and she immediately burst out in tears.

The entire time, she had been desperately fighting back the tears, trying to hold herself together like she always does but then when she saw how he had defended her without any form of hesitation and how boldly he was walking towards her like he was her knight in shining armour and her charming prince, she suddenly couldn't hold it in anymore.

She still couldn't believe that he, who was just a total stranger to her weeks ago was the one fighting for her against her own parents who seemed to hell-bent on causing her this much pain.

No matter how much she thought of the situation, she still doesn't get to come up with any reason why they'll both hate her so much.

For Christ's sake she is their flesh and blood and deserved to be loved by them, not being hurt by them.

With eyes filled with tears, Mo Moyan watched as Lu Jin slowly approached her and when he was finally by her side, she wanted to thank him, however, before she could even open her mouth, he stopped her by putting his finger on her lips and without any warning swept her into his arms and carried her out.

Squeaking in delight and beaming at the turns of events, Jing Lingli also followed them out leaving only Harry alone in the station with the police officers.

At this moment, the superior who still couldn't bear the thought of losing his job and also didn't want to accept his ill fate, walked up to Harry and tried to appeal to him to reason with Lu Jin and make him reconsider his decision and let them keep their jobs, however, Harry cuts him off and repeated Lu Jin's warnings to him before walking out on him.

Finally convinced that he was totally done for, the superior suddenly lets out a loud cry, fell on his knees and buried his face in his palm while the rest of the squad just stood frozen to the spot not knowing what to do.

Some of them even seemed to be in total denial, wishing and hoping everything that had happened would turn out to be a just a bad dream.

They pinched and pinched their skin to see if they'll wake up from the nightmare yet they never did because they weren't dreaming.

Everything that took place was all real.

They had made a terrible mistake by offending someone as powerful as Lu Jin and they are all paying dearly for it.
