Chapter 5: Under New Management

Inside the Overlord's Private Quarters in the Dark Tower, the Overlord Hadrian was getting up from his bed, after a good night's sleep, he then stretched before heading to where he left his Cloth.

'Now that I paid attention to the Armor, it's the same as the First Overlord' Thought Hadrian as he put on his helmet.

Hadrian goes close to the door of his Private Quarters and takes the Axe that was next to the door, he then left Private Quarters and went to the stairs to go to the Floor of the Throne Room.

"Good morning sire, I hope you had a great night" Said Gnarl as he saw Hadrian arriving in the Throne Room, with him bowing to the Overlord.

"Good morning Gnarl" Hadrian replied as he sat on his Throne.

"The food is almost ready, master, the Browns and Greens found a Unicorn in the Burnt Forest, oddly enough, so the Kitchen is busy baking" Said Gnarl while rubbing his hands.

"Hmmm....Roasted Unicorn Meat....looks delicious" Hadrian said with a hand on his chin thoughtfully.

"Food aside, can you tell me about this Swamp you mentioned before I went to Private Quarters and went to sleep?" Hadrian asked as he looked at Gnarl.

"Of course, sire, by the looks of it, this Swamp doesn't have anything very important, just having frogs, etc. What you would find in a normal Swamp, but it seems that there is an Ogre in that place" Gnarl replied after thinking a little about it.

'Swamp and Ogre? Could it be....nah' Hadrian thought.

"Um, what about the Human Settlement?" Hadrian asked when he remembered that there was a Human Settlement near the Swamp.

"The Settlement is a village, not very big, it's all Peasants as you might expect, so it's an easy target to Destroy or Enslave, Mi'lord." Answered Gnarl as he saw Hadrian nod his head before getting up and going to the Tower Portal.

"Very well, then I will go to this village, it is time for them to bow to me." Said Hadrian as he shouldered his Axe.

"Aaah, sire already wants to start establishing your Dark Domain, excellent! I can already imagine the screams and carnage that will ensue." Said Gnarl with clear happiness in his voice upon hearing his Overlord's statement.

When Hadrian was in front of the Tower Portal, he focused on the image of the village, when he saw the projection of the village through the Tower Portal, he closed his eyes and imagined teleporting there, which is what happened.

When Hadrian opened his eyes, he was on top of the local Tower Portal, in addition to having the 4 Minion Portals spawn near him.

"Hmmm" Hadrian looks around and sees that he is in the Crop Fields, looking ahead, Hadrian sees that he was a little far from the village.

"Well, let's just get this over with" Hadrian says to himself before summoning all the Minions from the Minion Portals.

When all the Minions came out of the Minion Portals and were around him, Hadrian started to go to the Village, with very clear and Dark intentions.

"Okay Guys! Get ready to have fun!" Said Hadrian as the Minions screamed in happiness.

"Loot the entire Village, capture the Villagers, and most importantly: Kill all the Sheep you find!" Ordered Hadrian while pointing to the village, with that the Minions began to advance without stopping.

Hadrian stood still for a few seconds where he was, he then started to count.

"5...4...3...2...1" After Hadrian finished counting, he began to hear people's screams mixed with the Minions' War Shouts.

"Well, that's my cue." Hadrian said to himself as he walked calmly towards the Village.

When Hadrian arrived at the entrance of the Village, he could already see several Villagers running and trying to protect themselves, only to be knocked out by the Browns clubs, in addition to seeing some Greens jumping on top of some animals.

"SHEEEPIEEE" Yelled a Brown Minion who was riding a sheep that was trying to run away.

"Aaah...look at these little devils bringing chaos and destruction" Said Gnarl through the Telepathic Link between Tower Heart and Hadrian's helmet.

"Yes, it's wonderful" Said Hadrian while he suddenly smelled meat being roasted, he then looked to the side and saw some animals on fire and being killed, causing Red Lifeforce to come out.

The Lifeforces that were appearing were quickly taken by the Minions and delivered to Hadrian, who only laughed evilly when he saw all the harvest he was having.

After Hadrian finished his dark and evil chuckles, he then focused on the village, which was starting to have a few houses on fire.

'Should I be concerned that my future slaves will be homeless? Hmmm...nah, if they want housing, let them rebuild their homes' Hadrian thought as he ordered some Minions who were nearby to bring him a comfortable seat and a drink, he wanted to enjoy the view and see everything with a drink in hand.

The Minions soon brought a wooden chair, in addition to bringing a small table and a barrel of beer, along with an already full mug of beer for Hadrian, who then began to drink while still wearing his helmet.

How was he managing to drink beer even with the helmet? Magic.

While Hadrian just enjoyed the chaos and destruction, he saw the Minions placing near him several bags full of coins and several other items that were of value, which made Hadrian laugh with happiness, Gnarl who was all that by the Tower Portal also joined in the laughter.

When all the villagers, men, women, children, and old people were all captured and placed in front of Hadrian, he then got up from his chair, left his mug of beer on the table, and focused on the villagers.

"Be honored, humans! You are Under New Management!" He shouted Hadrian with happiness in his tone before focusing the Magic on his hand.

He then focused on a child and then tried to cast an Evil Presence Spell on the child, who screamed in fear when he saw lightning coming at him

However, the pain that the child expected never happened, instead the ray began to go to his mind, messing with his mind and placing a very simple order: Unconditionally Obey the Overlord.

When Hadrian saw that the child's eyes were empty, he stopped using the Evil Presence Spell, then ordered the Minions to release the child to see what would happen.

When the child was freed, he knelt before Hadrian while saying non-stop "Hail, Dark One".

"William! What have you done to my son?!" He shouted a woman to Hadrian while he saw all that happening, the Minions that were close to the woman were laughing in her face.

"Master, could you take some ladies and use them as Servants for the Tower, clean the place up...The Spawning Pit is getting rather whiffy" Said Gnarl through the telepathic link to Hadrian, who nodded.

'Yeah, some Servants of the Female species wouldn't hurt' Hadrian thought as an evil smile crept onto his face, but it was hidden by his helmet.
