A God? - Chapter 1

-

Inside a blank void of nothingness, a creature awakens.

'Huh?'

'What? Where am I?'

'Am I dead?'

'What happened with the crash?' He thought.

He had just been in the car with his foster family when all of the sudden a truck horn sounded and then everything went dark.

His mind raced, however anything he thought of only led to one conclusion.

'Yup, I'm dead.' The void of nothingness, the truck horn, everything going dark, it all made sense.

At least that was what he assumed.

'I guess dying kind of sucks.' He couldn't help but sigh at the idea that after the shit show of a life he went through, now he had to spend all of eternity inside a void.

'Can I move? Is there anywhere for me to even go?' Deciding that trying to do something would be better than doing nothing.

That was when he noticed.

'Wait why do I feel weird?' He thought.

He noticed that his body felt off. It felt weird, inhuman even.

When he opened his eye's he couldn't help but but sigh even harder at the fact that he was still in a void, he thought that he should have opened his eye's first before condemning himself to eternal nothingness.

However opening his eye's did help him see something that confirmed his guesses.

'Hah.. I'm not a human.'

He had a big snout from what he could see, and that's not mentioning the fact that he felt 13 different limbs.

Only now he could actually tell what those 13 limbs were although again, he had a few ideas.

'Two legs, two arms, Check! One tail, Check..? Eight wings, Check..?'

He couldn't help but imagine a western dragon, black and white in color with eight wings, four on each side. But he didn't have to imagine, that was him.

He admired himself for awhile, 'This is definitely an improvement.'

'I mean who wouldn't want to be a dragon?'

Although the dragon part was a welcome surprise, the void was not.

'Did I really get to reincarnate as a dope ass dragon but I have to spend my whole life inside a void?'

While he looked really cool there was no one to admire him. Heck, there wasn't anything at all.

After spending quite some time doing nothing but thinking because that was really all he could do I mean what was he supposed to do literally nothing? He didn't think so.

Soon though, he thought of something that he could have or he might not have. However he was basically praying at this point that he did have it.

"System?" A dragon's bellow resounded with a hint of embarrassment.

He patiently waited for a few moments, that was all he could do.

'I should have known it wasn't going to be that easy, although I did get reincarnated so it was worth a shot.' He thought when all of the sudden multiple dings went off inside his head.

[System assimilation complete.]

[Awakening the "Supreme Follower System".]

[Success.]

[Congratulations to the host for successful awakening.]

The disappointment he had quickly turned into elation.

'Thank god I have a system!'

'Although, Follower System? How am I going to get any followers here?' His thinking quickly turned his elation into worry.

'I guess there's nothing else I can do.'

"System what are you're functions." An ancient voice resounded, if anyone had heard it they would have most likely passed out.

[The System's goal is to provide the host with "Divine Power" based on how many followers they have and how deep their loyalty is toward the host.]

[The System can answer any question the host might want to know the answer to with a fee of "Divine Power".]

[The System can accurately display the status of anything and anyone including the host, as long as the host can see them.]

'That sounds all fine and dandy but who is going to be my follower in this void?' He couldn't help but think, however before asking the system he had something he needed to check first.

"Status!" He called.

[ Status:

-Name: None

-Title: [Deity]

-Race: Supreme Yin-Yang Dragon

-Divine Power: 15

-Divine Power Usage: 0.001 Per Day

]

Although there was a lot to take in there his mind only focused on a single thing.

"System why is my title 'Deity'?" He questioned almost immediately.

[Do you accept a fee of "0" Divine Power?]

"Yes."

[The "Deity" title is given to being who are gods and they cannot be harmed by anything that is not divine power, as long as they have divine power they cannot be killed and are immortal.]

"..." He was stunned.

'A God?'

'Me?' He thought

There was no way? Right? I mean he was just a normal person a little while ago?

However surprisingly he felt calm and his thoughts raged at what felt like lightning speed.

It was weird, normally one would be amazed and astounded at this however all he felt a unprecedented calm.

Surprisingly he collected himself quickly and decided to put the whole god thing on hold for a little, he had more important things to ask the System.

"System how should I find a follower." He asked, for all he know he was the only person in this space.

[Do you accept a fee of "1" Divine Power?]

"Yes." Although he didn't know how important divine power was if his only option to get more was through followers, he needed to know how to get some.

[The System recommends for the Host to descend to a lower realm and find a follower there. It costs 10 Divine Power to descend to a lower realm.]

[Caution! Although it costs 10 Divine Power to descend to a lower realm that does not include the Divine Power needed to sustain your true body, the system recommends creating a incarnation to go in your stead.]

'Ok..? I guess that answers a few questions I had, however where am I? And how do I make an incarnation?'

"System, where am I?" The ancient voice resounded once more.

[Do you accept a fee of "0" Divine Power?]

 "Yes." He responded.

[The Host is inside his "Divine Domain" a place separate from all of reality. The host can put anything he desires inside his domain as long as his perception covers it, the Divine Domain also serves as the home of the Deity in charge of it.]

'Alright I guess I understand a little bit.'

Something soon started to bother him.

'Why was my name blank? Obviously my name is...? Wait what was my name?'

This was weird, really weird, he could remember a lot about his life even thought it was pretty short. He only lived to only 16 years old, yet no matter what he could not remember his name.

"System, what is my name?" An ancient voice spoke.

[Unknown.]

'What? There wasn't even a prompt for Divine Power?' Although he was very confused, he decided to put that in the back of his head because there were some other things he needed to do.

"System, how do I create an incarnation?" He asked.

[It is intrinsic for gods to know how to create.]

'Huh? What does that mean?'

Then he understood.

He understood how to create, create anything. As long as he had enough divine power he could create anything inside or outside of his domain.

He understood how to descend to a lower world, and he understood why it cost's divine power every single day for him to survive.

Now he truly understands the importance of having a large amount of believers.

'This.. This is crazy.' He couldn't help but understand the significance of his power, if he looked a little deeper before he would have found out about himself his powers and how to grow.

An insignificant decimal point of Divine Power was consumed.

Atoms rearranged in front of the dragon into the form of your average water bottle.

It then faded back into nothingness.

'Hm.. So you don't get anything back when something is destroyed.'

Silence pervaded for a few moments as he thought.

'How should I make this incarnation? A Human? A Dragon?'

He now understood that it would cost a minimum of 1 divine power to create a incarnation and there was no maximum.

An incarnation would never be destroyed by anything other than divine power so It would technically be indestructible, while that sounds great the physical force and speed of the incarnation would be only about 10 times that of a average human.

Although that sounds like a lot It's nothing for a god, increasing the amount of divine power used in the creation of the incarnation is what increases the "power".

Another thing that divine power affects in a incarnation is its divine sense for every point of divine power used increases the size of the divine sense by a kilometer.

The power of a incarnation can only be 10% of the power of main body at maximum, while the power of the main body goes by the same rules of the incarnation however the power is based on the highest point of divine power not the current amount.

After learning so much he decided it was time to design his avatar.

'Hm.. I think I'm going to go with a dragonoid human, although I was going to go with a human, my pride won't let me for some reason. Probably has to do with being a dragon.' He thought.

The design he decided to go with was a light skinned human male about 6 feet tall with long black hair, with some white near the tip. There were two long, thin but sharp horns sticking out of his forehead, one was black and the other was white.

[Divine Power 14 -> 13]

A black and white tail from behind along with a few scales here and there around his avatars body.

"This.. This'll do."

Adding some clothes like a black and white robe with some shoes and what not.

The dragon then closed his eye's, and the avatar opened theirs. Although he didn't need to do this, he could control both with no problem. This felt way more natural to him.

He looked down at his hands, hands he just made himself and smiled.

'This is gonna be real interesting.' He couldn't help but smile at the thought of the worlds he'll get to explore.

-

Elsewhere in a forest, a girl who looked around 12 years old could be found.

Tears flowed down her face, however it was hard to notice with the heavy rain surrounding her.

The thing that you would notice, were the bodies.

The bodies of wolves, many wolves. What looked like eight or nine.

However the most striking thing was most definitely the body of the dead boy who looked around the same age as the girl, his cold dead hands still clenching hard to a steel sword.

"Why... Why did you have to protect me Alex? Why!" The girl pleaded for anyone! anything who could bring him back.

Although she knew.. deep down she knew that she was never going to get to see him again.

Drip. Drip. Drip. The rain patted down, when all hope seemed lost an ethereal voice rang out.

"Hello there little one." A mysteriously magical voice sounded in her still ringing ears.

"Huh?" She swiftly turned around with fear, only to see a weird looking man looking down at her with a smile.

"Who.. Who are you?" The little girl said worried she met one of the mountain bandits sighted nearby.

"A God." The magical voice said with confidence.

"Wha..?" The girl responded, in her confusion she didn't notice that he wasn't wet at all and that no rain dared to land on the man.
