Theory number 5

Anyways hi guys and girls!!! nB20 here!!! Here I am with todays theory but first as I said about William and Henry being gay ( which they absolutely aren't) so here's what I have! Mind you I don't own this content!

This is not just a ship, as many people have often told me. It's an actual theory that I truly believe. The Freddy Files put a huge "X marks the spot" on the relationship between Henry and William. MatPat did a whole video on that quote, which I'm sure you've all seen. (The Monster We Missed.) The second-to-last page of The Freddy Files (Updated Edition) tells us we need to look to the books to see how the relationship between these two characters affects the story of the games as well.

Unfortunately, I have not read the books. I don't plan to.

But as you probably know from the title of the thread, I'm pretty confident I know what it is.

If Vlad has the night shift then he's the restless one, which means Clara...

1) The Immortal and the Restless obviously depicts William Afton arguing with his lover about him not taking responsibility for their oldest (at the time, only) child, Michael. If this is William's wife, then this (as far as I'm aware) is the only time her character is ever mentioned, making her quite the weak and underdeveloped entity, especially as a protagonist. But Henry? As far as we know, Scott introduced us to Henry with the mysterious lines in FNaF 3, which would no doubt go to him, as I'll cover later. If there's an arch nemesis to William that's being depicted here, it's Henry.

Furthermore, Clara sets Vlad's house on fire. Who's the person who sets William Afton on fire? Twice? It's Henry, of course. And if you've seen The Immortal and the Restless's season finale, then you know where William and Henry's relationship goes.

2) Candy Cadet tells one story about a boy who owned a violent red snake that he loved. He adopted five kittens off the street, and although he knew that the snake would likely kill one of them, he ignored the problem, going to sleep. He woke up to find that the snake had killed one of the kittens, so he killed the snake, and gave life back to the kitten. It's a unique Candy Cadet story because there are two forces outside of the "five things," and although the kittens are all placed in the same shoebox, they never truly become one thing, and only one of the "five things" dies. It's the least applicable situation of all the CC (not Crying Child) stories.

It's actually the story of Henry and William's relationship. The boy is Henry, the snake is William, and the kittens are their collective five children: Michael, Cassidy, Elizabeth, Sammy, and Charlie, the last of whom is killed by William. Henry doesn't kill William (immediately, that is,) but he does cut him out of his life at this point, and he brings life back to the kitten, Charlie, in the form of the Security Puppet.

3) Midnight Motorist is confusing. We all know that.

It seems to be the FNaF 4 house, the one near the diner, based on the floor color and Michael's living there. But the Midnight Man himself definitely isn't William.

It's Henry. As the foil to William a.k.a. the Purple Guy, Henry's color would be yellow/orange, wouldn't it? The color of the fire at the end? The color of the text in the FNaF 3 trailer? The color of the Psychic Friend Fredbear, which is all-but-confirmed to be a camera that BV's parents were using to spy on him?After the death of Charlie, Henry took Michael and Cassidy into his custody. But William got Elizabeth, explaining why he caters to her by building her robots like Freaky Friend Baby and the motherly animatronic Ballora. Midnight Motorist shows that William is abducting Cassidy, (rather than Michael, whom he neglects if we're supposed to learn anything from TIatR,) and taking him to his job at Fredbear's Family Diner.

This is the best explanation I can find for Midnight Motorist. I came up with the theory that Henry adopted William's kids, but that felt like there was no precedent for it, and it messed with the timeline a bit. It also didn't explain why Henry has William's car.

The Alternate Theory

Since I that the community, in fact, would not accept it that way, there is, of course, the alternate theory. The FNaF 3 trailer person, the Midnight Motorist, and the person talking through the Psychic Friend Fredbear is actually William's ex-wife. She took Michael and Cassidy, helps Henry with Fazbear's Fright, and possibly even takes the role of manager in FNaF 6, explaining why everyone is surprised to see the protagonist, and why William is arguably flirtatious. This would mean Clara does, in fact, represent a woman, although she would only be responsible for one (1) of the fires that attempt to kill William Afton. And it would also explain more cleanly why William's ex-lover would have his house, two of his children, and his car, as gay marriage (and by extension, gay divorce) wasn't legal in Utah until 2014.

Y'know, common knowledge.

This would give William's wife a more clear role in the series besides being the product of William's kids, who, looking at their eye, hair, and skin colors, don't feel all too related, and allow Ballora to be based on an actual woman. It all adds up rather cleanly, but I'm still more willing to believe Henry and William were gay.

Not only does the Helliam theory better explain the supposed mystery that TFF Updated Edition seems to hint at, but it's also just... simpler, y'know? More pieces feel like they fall into place.
