Welcoming the refugees

"The refugees are harmless. There must be a reason why they left the motherland. Either a war has broken up or a plague infestation."

King Liam looked at Yoona, Sora, and Leah. He gave them an instruction, "Try to find out why they left Ningbo." He shifted his gaze towards Mori and Farah. King Liam gave them instruction, "If they came because of a plague infestation, please check if the refugees are sick. Quarantine them if they are sick and give them treatment."

The ministers have no objection to this.

Sora, Leah, Yoona, and General Li get on the horses to travel to the military camp. When they arrived, they looked at the refugees. "What makes you all travel here?"

The refugees responded, "Misfortune befall our country. Queen has died, King had gone missing. People are suffering from the epidemic. We can't afford to pay for treatment after the new tyranny ruler imposed a high tax."

After they heard about the epidemic, they became concerned that the refugees will have their disease spread to Shilla. The troops cleared the way and make a few camps to quarantine sick people.

Mori, Farah and several physicians arrived. They check their health condition. Physician and Mori noticed it was the same symptoms that the drugs addicts had. Knowing Queen Aliyah is in Ningbo, they suspected Queen Aliyah is distributing the rolled tobacco in Ningbo.

Mori gave a confirmation, "These refugees are not having any contagious disease. Most likely consumed rolled tobacco."

The refugees interrupted, "We are not consuming rolled tobacco. It is too expensive, we cannot afford them."

Mori looked at them. "I understand, but looked at them, they were hallucinating. Perhaps not in a form of rolled tobacco but I am pretty sure they have consumed poppies."

They looked at the border, more refugees are coming over. Mori persuaded General Li to allow them to enter Shilla to reunite with their family members.

Mori, Farah, Leah, Yoona, and Sora meet King Liam in the Imperial Palace to report about the situation at the border.

Queen Ariel gives a proposal, "Since the number of refugees is huge, I would like to give a suggestion. Bring them to the desert town, build more huts there. There is quite a lot of empty land. I used to live there, it was a peaceful town."

Olena supported Queen Ariel, "The refugees will adapt to the environment well there since the desert town is similar to Ningbo."

Yoona spoke out, "These people are weak and exhausted. They were thirsty and hungry."

King Liam gives a proposal, "We have our magic power back, we can give out special abilities. Let's help them."

King Liam and Olena cast a spell of healing touch on Mori and Farah. "Mori, Bobby, Both of you have a healing touch. You can help those who are weak, sick, and addicted to drugs will after you touch them."

King Liam and Olena cast a spell of advance construction on Yoona, Sora, and Leah. "Yoona, Sora, Leah. You can bless the construction of the huts in the desert town. Give a blessing to the builders and the tools. They will have to be able to find building material easily, restore their energy and speed up in construction."

They left the palace to work on the task. Mori and Farah get on a horse to travel to the camp. Farah hugged Mori tight from the back to avoid falling from the horse. He felt her breast and it's making him uncomfortable. Farah laughed when he realized that, "I am bobby! I am a male ghost who possessed a woman's body." Mori turned speechless.

Upon arrival at the camp, Mori and Farah touched the sick, weak, and drug addicts. They recovered instantly. He gave General Li the royal instruction. "We will move the refugees to the desert town in Shilla."

General Li gave instruction to the Ningbo refugees to follow Yoona, Sora, and Leah. He instructed several troops to escort them.

One of the refugees revealed that she is a survivor. Many of them also left Ningbo with boats but their boats were capsized and people drowned by the tidal waves. They never reach the shore and all of them sank into the ocean. She watched all the corpses floating around her.

The news about refugees has spread. Citizens of Shilla heard about the pitiful stories. While they were on their journey to the desert town, the citizens of Shilla gathered in the street to cheer for them. They gave some foods to the refugees to help them to restore their energy.

The refugees of the Ningbo felt the blessing and determined to start a new life in Shilla.

At the desert town, the refugees were greeted by King Liam, Olena and Queen Ariel. The royal family welcomed them.

They have set up many tents in the desert for them to stay. The men are helping to collect building materials, and constructing several huts, while the woman is helping with the cleaning and preparing for meals.

Yoona, Sora and Leah gave a blessing to the men and the construction tools. The tools become efficient, lightweight and give precision and the men felt energetic.

A luxury carriage arrived at the military camp. Princess Mona got down from the carriage, she was missing Mori and wanted to meet him. She minced her way to look for Mori and spotted him with Farah. They were laughing and looking very close together.

Farah noticed the princess came to visit. Mori introduced Farah to Princess Mona. Princess Mona asked, "Is she your wife?"

They both chuckled, "I am Farah, we are like siblings." Mori nodded in agreement.

A big smile on Princess Mona's face when Farah said Mori is like his sister. "I bring some food for you all. Come try them."

"How do you know we are hungry?" Mori chuckled.

While they were enjoying the food, Farah realized Princess Mona is in love with Mori. Mori bowed to thank Princess Mona for the food. He left them to continue his work.

Farah looked at Princess Mona, "Do you love Mori?"

Princess Mona gasped and wondered how she knew. "What makes you think I am in love with Mori?"

Farah laughed and said, "When a woman is in love, it's written on their face. Mori is also in love with you but you are noble, he is an orphan. That's why he chooses to conceal his feeling."

Queen Ariel in the desert town, had a gloomy face. "Soon, I will be leaving the mortal realm to return to the immortal realm." She whispered to herself.

While King Liam is alone in the tent, she approached King Liam, "I bring you some tea."

He smiled at Queen Ariel. "Thank you, I was about to ask them to make for me!"

He noticed the queen looked upset. "Are you alright?"

She smiled and said, "As you already know, I am an immortal. I will die in the mortal realm soon to return to the immortal realm. Our meeting was actually set up by the immortals. The woman in your heart is Olena. Please make her the queen of the country."

King Liam hugged Queen Ariel, "I am glad I meet you. Thank you for staying beside me."

King Liam, Olena and Queen Ariel walked out of the tent to greet the refugees. "You will now be the citizens of Shilla and this is your home!"

The desert town has become a big town ever since the arrival of the refugees. They selected one of the men to represent them in the inner court meeting. Some of them have joined the military.

Ningbo refugees visited the research institute and introduced them to the meal they eat daily. "We eat raw fishes. Some of the foods, we fermented them to make it last longer. We tried to save as much due to the high taxes."

"It's actually very healthy food. That's probably why their skins are delicate." Queen Ariel said.

The local housewives were excited, and they approached the female refugees from Ningbo to learn the recipe. In the research institute, one refugee showed the steps to make the raw fishes.

At first, they felt strange to see them eating raw fishes. After they tried it, it was delicious! Fishermen laughed, thinking that their business will bloom, thanks to the raw fish recipe.

In Ningbo Grand Palace, Queen Aliyah is bathing in her tub. Jamal came into her chamber to help her to rub her body. She smiled at him when he greeted her. When he rubbed her on the shoulder, he felt a sting that burns him.

He closes his eyes and touches Aliyah's head to find out the curse within her. An invisible force pushed away Jamal in Aliyah.

Jamal informed Queen Aliyah, "Someone had cursed you. I can help you to get rid of the curse."

Queen Aliyah asked, "Someone cursed me?"

He explained, "The peony flower curse. They can trace you and put you to sleep."
