Research Institute

At the entrance of Longevity Palace, a carriage is waiting to pick Olena and Prince Liam. As soon as they entered the carriage, the horseman took them to Olena's villa. Many of the servants marched and escorted them, they were marching behind the carriage. After a moment of riding through a few lakes, they reached the destination. The horseman stopped the carriage to drop them.

Olena raised her arm towards her head to block the glowing sun in the sky. Whilst Prince Liam looked at the manor with his eyes wide open and jaws dropped. A stunning, oriental designed and robustly crafted manor. As he stepped into the main entrance, he looked at the arch fish pond.

Deep in his heart, he was eternally grateful towards Olena for supporting him. He turned his head to look at Olena and asked, "Are you sure you are going to donate this villa?"

Olena wondered why he asked, she grinned and replied, "Of course. It is a gift from my ancestor, which is why I wanted to build a monument to honour them."

Servants from the villa rushed out to greet Olena and Prince Liam. Prince Liam instructed the servants to help out with cleaning the massive villa.

Mori, Sora, Yoona, Leah, and Prince Liam followed Olena. She took a tour around the courtyard. Mori takes note of each landscape to draft out the manor layout.

They are standing in the hall, Mori said, "The hall is too big, we can use dividers to build several rooms within the hall. One room here, because this is near the well, I suggest this room to visitors can stay here to taste the food. After they eat, the servants don't have to walk too far to get water."

Yoona nodded to agree and said, "I like your idea, but I think you are making it too big. For one, this is not a restaurant, it is only a food tasting area."

Mori nodded and responded, "I agree.

Behind this area, we can build a classroom for the students. I think we can occupy at least 12 students?"

While the builders are working, they gather in the newly built meeting room. Prince Liam and Olena have made a plan. They will assign each of them a role.

Olena looked at Mori with her brown eyes, "Mori, we would like you to be the key person in charge of this research institute."

Prince Liam nodded his head, "He has better skill in medicine, he can deal better with the physician."

There is no objection from anyone, Mori gladly takes the job.

Prince Liam continues to assign the task, "Olena will handle the treasury. I will handle the purchasing side. Yoona, Sora, and Leah will need to manage the visitors."

Bobby asked, "What about me? What about me?"

Olena chuckled, "You should focus to do what you are supposed to do. Spying."

Yoona, Sora, Mori, and Leah looked at Olena, wondering who she was talking to since they could not see the ghost. Olena noticed everyone giving her a weird stare. She rubbed her head with her palm, "Nothing.... forget it."

Olena tried to persuade them again, "How about highlighting your problems? We can discuss with each other problem-solving."

A farmer speaks out, "The major issue is labour. Young teenagers are healthy but lazy. They are not willing to work hard labour. Many of us are suffering from back pain because we carried the water from the stream to water them every day."

Prince Liam took out a piece of paper to draw a wheel fountain made of bamboo and timbers. He explained the drawing to the visitors, "This is a watermill. You can make them using bamboo and timbers. This round thing is called a wheel fountain, they can get the water supply from the stream. And, these are bamboos to get the water supply automatically front the stream to the plantation. Then, this one is the seal to stop the water from flowing to prevent over-watering the plants. We call this technology."

The watermill technology impressed the visitors. They started to pay attention and asked more questions.

Olena gave another suggestion, "Instead of travelling up and down to look for customers, you can get the young teenagers to help you to sell the crops."

The physician addressed a few issues. "One issue we have is the female patients, who are ashamed to show their body for check-ups."

Olena proposes, "We built a classroom here. We encourage females to learn medicine. They can be the assistant to the physician. We are hiring physicians to conduct classes and from the classes, you can find a suitable assistant for yourself."

Prince Liam recites, "Sharing knowledge is not about giving people something. But it's also getting something from them. It's a great opportunity to expand your knowledge base and fine-tune your skills. Don't you want to learn more new things?".

The visitors found the research institute is useful for them. They spread the news about the foundation. More commoners visit the foundation to check out the research institute.

The farmers, physicians, and fishermen gathered at the research institute from time to time to discuss their problems. They also learn from other farmers about solutions to their problems.

Women learnt about new recipes from each other. From the sharing recipes, they noticed their husbands enjoy a different type of food.

Mori hired a few scholars to help record notes and compile into books.

In the research institute, Physicians offered free treatment to the sick commoners who can't afford to pay for medical treatment. The physician gathered to discuss the diagnosis method.

Commoners who are interested to learn about medicine could attend classes. Physicians will receive good money for teaching the students.

In the court meeting, Olena updated King George and ministers on the progress of the institute. They realized it concerns not only food and medicine. The benefit of the research institute becomes noticeable to everyone. It contributes to the economy of the country.

Prince Liam has become a pioneer in the research institute that provides problem-solving with technologies, training the youth hoping to have more skilful physicians, implementing systems and techniques to improve the business, and headhunting to provide recruitment service.

King George spending his time with his family in the courtyard, a eunuch praises Prince Liam's achievement. He was very proud of his son.
