Claire and Zayne both did not venture out to base in the coming days. After the shocking news of most major guilds and families being implicated in the Wulin case, the civilian journalists and professors were injected with chicken blood. 

They analyzed and reanalyzed all the proprietary spells used by guilds. Twenty of the guilds were found to be using almost enslavement-like spells on their own guild members. The mercenary contracts were re-analyzed by both the mercenary guild and the invited professors. They found too many issues with contracts of low level mercenaries. 

The list of the witnesses changed drastically. 

The base was like a hornet's nest, where they tried to find fault with every person ever lived, at the same time, they tried to make a victim out of every person. With Little Aunt investigating the personal affairs of everyone, it was like a new year's eve's talent show where all your relatives will try to find all your faults at the same time.
