Adult's duty

Claire held a groggy Kaya in her arms, feeling very complex. Growing up, at this age, she felt she was trying to protect the family when she first started helping out her foster mother. It is only after she has become an adult that she realized that children should never need to protect the family. At least, in a normal family. At the same time, she did not want to look down on the bravery of Kaya. 

" Next time, sweet heart, you must hide well.. And let mommy fight. Mommy also wants to protect Kaya, alright ? " Claire said, holding the child tight. 

Kaya did not agree. One could see the disagreement in her expression. Claire thought that Kaya had been groggy, she did not hear her. However, looking at her rebellious expression, she's only tired, not unconscious. 

" Kaya … queen. Kaya protects …blah.. Blah.. blah.. " Kaya mumbled in answer, raising her hand weakly.
