Chapter 5: Fu Yingpei

*Lin Yixing's POV* "Is the ex-general your grandfather?" The man asked and the little girl nodded her head. I felt my heart in my throat at that moment. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that that old man was an ex-general in the military.Instantly, an officer handed a phone to the man and told him it belonged to the old man. The phone was switched off and since it was programmed according to the military of that country, it needed a pin to open before the emergency call could be used as there was another password after the pin."Little girl, can you open grandpa's phone?" The man asked the little girl who looked at him suspiciously for a moment before nodding her head. The phone was handed to her and I doubted she could open the phone. It wasn't just a pin needed as the man had said earlier, it had a pattern password and a picture password before a 15 character was needed. It didn't stop there but it was enough for the military guys since they only needed access to the emergency call.The little girl drew a complex image that formed a combination of the letters E and Y, she did the correct pin password before typing as fast as her little fingers could type, the 15 character needed. The man smiled and thanked the little girl before trying to call a number on the contact list in the emergency contact.*Fu Yanjing's POV*I was seated in my office when a servant informed me of my brother's arrival. "Sorry to disturb you sir but your brother is around and us looking for you" she was still talking when my brother walked in with a smile on his face. The servant excused them and Fu Yanjing walked to his brother's side and they did a brotherly hug."What's going on? Weren't you still in New York? When did you get back?" Fu Yanjing asked at once. "I got a call from the deputy general. He said that dad was engaged in an accident while Evie was with him" Fu Hua said "I thought Evie was with you. How come she's with dad?" Fu Yanjing asked"Dad called me and asked me to send Evie to him to spend some time with him" Fu Hua explained and continued "we have to go to the countryside to go get father and Evie." Fu Yanjing nodded at him and got a few things he would need before leaving with Fu Hua.*Lin Yixing's POV*Few minutes later, the doctor has finished the surgery and he came out. I didn't know why I was so anxious. "Doctor how is he?""Surprisingly he's fine. He's sleeping now but he should wake up by tomorrow" the doctor said and I breathed a sigh of reliefI went back to the little girl who sat quietly on the chair planning to take her into the room to check on the old man when suddenly a young man ran into the hospital and went straight to the little girl and the military officers didn't stop him which showed that they knew him."Evie how are you? Are you hurt?" The young man asked and the little girl just shook her head and the man took her into his arms. He finally noticed me and stood up to thank me."Thank you for taking care of her" the man said holding my hands."It's what anyone would have done. Are you her dad?" I asked"No, I'm like an older brother to her. I'm Fu Yungpei, you can call me Yingpei" He explained.We walked into the room with the little girl in his arms because the little girl was making a fuss about going to see her grandpa. She didn't talk but she did cause a lot of ruckus and I'm starting to doubt the fact that she can speak.
