Chapter 10: Blushing

Lin Yixing's eyes opened wide at the sight as her lips slightly parting as a awe-struck sigh escaped. The silver draped curtain shielded the sunlight from sipping through, the crystal tiles of the building shimmering with the reflection of the roof and chandelier.

Lin Yixing stared at the gorgeous living room as Fu Yanjing walked further in. "Get in and make yourself at home." Fu Yanjing said in a cold uncaring voice.

"O,oh okay." She stuttered before following after him. She watched as Fu Yanjing removed his suit and placed it on the sofa. Pulling his tie down he turned and glanced at her.

"What's wrong?" A devilfish smile graced his lips. "I don't bite. "

Lin Yixing stared deep into his eyes as his dark gaze remained on her. What had she gotten herself into- she wondered as she faked a smile.

"These women were specially selected by Evie to prepare you for the party tonight" Fu Yanjing said

"Isn't it just a party? What's with all these preparations?" Lin Yixing asked

"My father wants you to come to the family house but before then, there are some people you should meet before then so that dinner with my entire family wouldn't be totally awkward" Fu Yanjing said

"Whom exactly am I meeting?" Lin Yixing asked. She was beginning to have second thoughts about this party.

"You'll know when we get there" Fu Yanjing said before signalling to the ladies that were chosen to prepare Lin Yixing for them to take her away.

"Wait. Who then will prepare Evie for the party?" Lin Yixing asked

"Trust me I can take care of my niece and there are maids around." Fu Yanjing said before he was interrupted by Evie 

"I can take care of myself. I'm not a kid" Evie said making Lin Yixing smile warmly at her. She looked so cute. She wondered why this little kid looked so much like her friend but then she thought it impossible. Her friend hadn't been in the country for the last 3 years.

Evie had just finished dressing and was struggling to do the zip at the back of her cute red princess style gown when she heard a knock on her door. She opened the door only to see Lin Yixing standing there with a smile on her face.

"Wow aunty. You look so beautiful" Evie commented. 

"And you look like a beautiful princess" Lin Yixing commented the little girl who twirled happily in her dress

"Aunty can you help me with my zip?" Evie asked in her cute bubbly voice

"Of course" Lin Yixing squat down to zip her dress up.

Fu Yanjing heard clinking of heels coming from the staircase and he turned towards it. The sight that met him made his jaw drop in both surprise and shock. He was so shocked that he didn't even noticed when his phone slipped from his hand and landed on the seat. He watched as a lady wearing a red cocktail dress walk down the staircase as the the gold tips fluttered like a lake of gold stars.

"How do I look." Lin Yixing asked as she turned. "Is it too much? It's too much right? I knew it was too much! Great I over did it." Lin Yixing pondered as she turned on her heels to leave back up the stairs.

"Huh?" Lin Yixing turned as someone had grabbed her. "Do you need anything?" She stared at Fu Yanjing's arm that had held her back.

"You, you..." Fu Yanjing stuttered, losing his normal cold compulsory before clearing his throat "It's manageable. No time to change, we'll be late."

"Oh, then let's go." Lin Yixing said as she turned on her heels to leave. Walking out as her heels elegantly clicked.

Fu Yanjing watched her walk away as his cheeks flushed with a light tint of red before hurrying after her. 

"Am I seeing things?"

"No way. The boss is actually blushing?"

"Yeah. Your cold boss is actually blushing!"

"Unbelievable."
