Stacy discreetly returned to Salvine City the following morning, sticking to her usual routine as advised. She kept her visit to Amelia a secret and didn't make any form of contact with the latter.

Amelia on the other hand was discharged from the hospital following Blaze's request. She was transferred to a remote location where she spent the next week recuperating and planning her glamorous comeback.

Thanks to Blaze, she was given the best health therapist who helped her overcome her limping and defection caused by the accident. She was treated with different healthy diets and healing herbs that took care of her scars and improved the lustre of her porcelain skin.

As promised, Amelia also received all the help and resources she needed to monitor all her family's activities from afar. She uncovered all those who played a major key in her abduction and almost death. She also found out that her father was still discreetly searching for her while the rest of the family seemed to have moved on with their loot, unbeknownst of a larger scheme to short-change them.

Amelia also stumbled upon a shocking revelation about the man she almost married some days back. Someone she thought she knew very well.

Not only had Jerry been in a secret relationship with Gwen for almost three years, but his family business had been facing a major financial crisis for a long time, something they had successfully hidden from the media by indulging in unscrupulous business ethics.

More updates revealed that Jerry was back from his fake honeymoon which he secretly spent intimately with Gwen in the next city.

Amelia crumbled the photocopied bank transaction receipt, showing the huge withdrawal, while gritting her teeth. She glared at the stack of photos littered on the table, her heart filled with resentment and the urge to retaliate with something more catastrophic. She gathered the photos together and neatly arranged them back in the folder.

Picking up her new iPhone sitting on the table, she dialed Marcus's number.

Marcus picked up on the first ring.

"Hello, Marcus."

"Good day, Miss Shawls." Marcus's tone was both polite and professional.

"Will your boss be joining me this evening for the trip to the island?" She asked, her chilly gaze distant and emotionless.

There was a pause from the other end as Marcus seemed to be receiving new directives from his boss.

"I am afraid not, Miss Shawls. He has a busy schedule for the day. Nevertheless, he sends his best wishes. He will be at the airport tomorrow at noon to receive you. In the meantime, I will be joining you after I have cleared my desk."

"Okay, Marcus. Thanks and see you soon."

Amelia ended the call, her eyes brimming with a cruel glint. She retrieved the already prepared divorce papers beside the yellow folder and leisurely went through them for the last time, a satisfied grin framing her lips.

Afterwards, she appended her signature to it and placed it on top of the yellow folder.

Over the past week, Blaze had been actively busy preparing for Amelia's return to the golden Salvine city.

Since he had no intention of Amelia moving into the same home with his mother or residing in her unsafe penthouse apartment, Blaze acquired a new and luxurious villa in the heart of town- equipping it with state-of-the-art interior and exterior decors, luxury cars and accessories fit for a queen. He employed the services of effectively screened house staff and security personnel to ensure Amelia's comfort and safety at all times. He employed the services of highly trained and combat-efficient bodyguards to protect her whenever he wasn't there for her. He also contracted the services of ghost bodyguards to secretly watch over her in case her family members decided to play a fast one on her.

Satisfied with his work, Blaze tasked Marcus with the duty of picking up an engagement ring worthy of recognition from one of the most luxurious high-end jewelry shops.

Later that afternoon, Marcus left with three of Amelia's new bodyguards in one of Blaze's luxury private jets.

The following day, the whole of Salvine City woke up to some new trending pictures and videos uploaded by an anonymous source, depicting a scandalous affair.

In one of the pictures, Jerry was captured coming out of a nightclub holding Gwen intimately on the waist while brushing his lips on the side of her neck.

In another picture, the two love birds were captured dining in a classy restaurant, oblivious to the world around them.

In a third picture, the two lovers were seen sharing a passionate moment, standing by the edge of a magnificent fountain display. And finally, in a video rated +18, the couple were captured making out in an empty VIP elevator.

Different headlines ranging from, scheming b*tch to horny chump tramp, dickless casanova, shameless homewrecker and other similar offensive phrases started making waves on all the search rankings. This was followed by thousands of comments filled with insults and offensive language.

Millions of fans who followed and worshipped Amelia Shawls took the matter overboard, dragging Gwen and Jerry's names in the mud.

But in all of this online drama, there was not a single comment from the true heiress, addressing her newlywed husband's infidelity.

Before Senator Gregory and his wife's attention was drawn to the ongoing scandal, the disgraceful content had already gone viral.

Every attempt made by the senator's PR crisis control team to bring down the video and pictures was foiled by an untraceable hacker. Unknown to them, the video and pictures have been programmed to run for another three hours before it can self-erase.
