Seira held the cup of tea in her hands slowly spinning the cup as she observed the man before her.
Every action of hers was filled with natural elegance, her somewhat empty and calm eyes assessed him from top to bottom.
The elegant music playing in the background made her feel sleepy, she covered her mouth as she stifled a yawn.
Opposite of her the man looked at her with an unreadable expression.
She didn't expect that he would skip formalities and discuss marriage.
When he brought up the talk about the issue of marriage, she was no longer tired. She was unsure which expression she should show, lifting her head with a deadpanned expression she lamented "...Marriage?" She didn't want to share her views to be perfectly honest.
He was well aware she had no intentions to marry however still looked for a partner, whatever reason it was it did not matter.
"I know you also do not want to marry" Oh, was it that obvious? She wondered what gave him the idea, for the time being she will just assume he guessed.
Secondly he stated "also do not want to marry" Even better, someone else who did not want to marry. It was possible he was in a similar position as herself, thus why they are both on a blind date.
Was it strange that she felt psychological comfort looking at the suffering of others?
*FL has a bit of a dark humour
You could say more or less they were birds of the same feather.
He calmly said "Anyway, the two of us do not want to get married, after marriage we can live our lives without disturbing each other, no involvement"
"Do not worry, I will not interfere in your affairs," she spoke. He agreed including bedroom matters. She conjured the possibility of him having a lover his family did not approve of and thought how tragic.
Coming across this man was like something out of those soap operas mother always watches on tv.
She looked at him "Are you not afraid of me seducing you? Charming you?" She found it laughable but hid it behind her poker face.
He looked at her with suspicious eyes, she stared him back eye to eye not batting an eyelid. She was well aware of her beauty, after all the number of men that have courted her are more than she can care to count.
It was rare for a man to not have been tempted by her appearance, so she conjured the possibility of him liking men. It wasn't uncommon nowadays to see same sex relationships however there were still a number of people who did not like such things and condemned gays.
He eventually averted his gaze calmly opening his thin lips and said "I'm gay"
Oh my, this just gets better and better. Seira happily rejoiced in her mind, it seems even her predictions turned out to be quite accurate.
"Since, Miss, you are not willing to marry me; we do not need to waste time here anymore, bye" It seemed he misunderstood her silence for rejection.
"Stop" she called out. He stopped but didn't turn his body.
"When are we going to sign up for the license?" He turned around slowly, his actions eerily similar to a robot.
She was turning 21 this year, at the peak of her youth. She didn't care if she became a spinster in her future years, till now she has always lived a smooth and carefree life. As for men she didn't bother with them, much less interact with them.
*FL is different from original mc hence the age difference
Nonetheless as the older she grew, mother would pester her passionately with eyes brimming with tears, shaking and claiming that these days woman should take the initiative. She finally grew tired of her mothers complaints and decided to get married to put an end to her sufferings.
Puzzled he carefully asked her "Are you sure?"
"Is this not the answer you wanted?" Must she repeat herself?
"But I can't give you anything in the marriage" from this statement she assumed he was somewhat a man of morals.
"I do not want anything from you. I also get to be free without the nuisance of children" she said as a matter of a fact.
He hesitated a little before saying "for my child we can find someone to surrogate"
"Do as you wish" she replied.
Madara stroked his chin thoughtfully for a moment, said "let's get married right now" his tone bland.
Nonetheless his appearance and height are outstanding, a very good candidate. The reason she agreed to have a blind date with this stranger was nothing more than to appease her mother, who has continuously brought up the topic of marriage and is afraid she will end up a old maid and she will never have the chance to hold grandchildren before she dies.
If she was going to marry, why not marry someone she could tolerate looking at that wasn't shorter than herself, even if she didn't care about them they had to at least look suitable to be her match standing by her side.
She had prepared her papers prior to her arrival and he fetched his from his car, the two quickly got married.
He married her in order to ward off those women, she was even more to his liking, as she did not look at him with greed or infatuation. She had a soothing, cool voice. Her appearance had startled him, it was obvious from her light amber eyes with a tinge of green that she had mixed blood, thigh length curly black silk like hair, she was a little over a head shorter than he, over all she had a very beautiful exotic appearance and voluptuous figure.
She spoke little and had an elegant bearing. She was dressed simply in a work suit with black stockings that exuded an undeniable allure coupled with her cold temperament she was fitting to be his wife.
Although she disliked men she was willing to marry this man, she saw no lust or greed within his eyes, she could not stand men that looked at her with such lewd thoughts so coming across this bachelor was very fortunate.
His status shouldn't be too bad and he should be able to cater his own needs. As for children she had straightforwardly told him it was a nuisance, thus he planned to have a surrogate mother.
Getting their marriage registered went smoothly as there were not many people at the marriage registration office.
*hurray! *throws confetti*
They split the bill when she stubbornly refused to let him pay the entire thing. She didn't like owing others.
Coming out of the marriage certificate registration office she quietly muttered,
"At least now I won't have to deal with blind dates"
He turned towards the parked car and started walking "Our wedding is now legal, you should be ready"
She would postpone telling her mother for another date. Madara asked if he needed to send her home, to which she waved her hands and said, "no". Like that Madara quickly got in his car and drove away in a lightning-fast speed.
