CHAPTER SEVEN

The Old Lady sneered,she just looked at the gift at a simple glance before turning away"Are you trying to say that i have rough skin?,why are you telling me how much it cost,do you want me to pay you back?"As she said this,the light in Wei Ye eyes dimmed but she still managed to squeeze out a smile.

"Of course not grandma,i bought it with a clean heart".

Still the Old Lady refused to take one more look at it. Mu Zhen sighed and interfered"Grandma, don't act childish and take it. Xiao Ye bought it purely with any other thoughts"A beautiful smile blossomed on Wei Ye lips when she heard him speak up for her.

A triumphant thought appeared in her head–Li Yanshu,see,even though you're back. The person Mu Zhen cares for is me–.

Because she doesn't like being scolded by her grandson, she called a maid to collect it and keep it.

"Thank you grandma"Wei Ye said happily.

The Old Lady didn't respond to her.

Wei Ye dragged Mu Zhen to a seat and sat beside him. Just as everybody was about to eat,The Old Lady spoke up"Now that Little Shushu is back,none of you should be disrespectful to her and she's welcomed here everytime and any day. Understood?".

It was shown on their faces that their weren't satisfied with her decision but they still muttered a low yes.

After lunch, everybody assigned to their rooms while Wei Ye and Mu Zhen were to go back. They had only come because the Old Lady called Mu Zhen hurriedly.

Mu Zhen sent Wei Ye to the car and then came back to meet his grandmother"i thought you will still follow that evil woman home"The Old Lady said seeing her grandson.

By this time,no one was in the dining except for Mu Zhen and the Old Lady.

"Grandma,Wei Ye is not evil. She's just misunderstood".

The Old Lady sighed at her grandson's stupidity and inner blindness of not being able to see the truth. "How are you going to do about Little Shushu?".

Apart from Wei Ye,The Old Lady also knows about how badly he misses Li Yanshu when she was not around giving Wei Ye the chance to gently and sneakily stay by his side without him knowing.

Mu Zhen heaved a long sigh and said"Grandma,i seriously don't know. Did you see the way she looked at me today,like i was a stranger. Does she really hate me?"he gulped as he thought of her look at lunch today,it was like he was a stranger,a very ugly stranger.

He decided to ask a troubling question within his mind the whole time"Grandma,are those really Li Yanshu's kids?"He asked nervously.

The Old Lady sighed"I can't answer for sure but she did say that they were her children in the middle of having lunch or something like that"She was waiting for a particular question but looking at her extremely handsome son,she doubts he would ask.

He might be good at business but definitely not good in the matters that concerns the heart. She shook her head in pity.

"Ah Zhen, where are...Oh Grandma, you're also here. Am sorry for the disturbance",Wei Ye was standing by the entrance of the dining room, although she said she was sorry for the disturbance,she still made no signs of leaving.

Mu Zhen stood up and sigh,he couldn't send her to the car this time,he might appear rude to her,so he waved to the Old Lady and said"Alright, we'll leave now"The Old Lady was frustrated by now, without looking at them,she waved her hands.

Mu Zhen nodded at Wei Ye telling her to move,Wei Ye instead, went to his side and held his arm. He was accustomed to this childish characteristics done be her so he didn't feel weird at all.

What he didn't know was that Wei Ye was claiming what was hers in front of the Old Lady. The Old Lady stomped her staff on the ground"Would you leave already?"she thundered.

Knowing she had hit the bullseye,Wei Ye began to move snuggling closer to Mu Zhen.

In a black bugatti,Li Cherry and Li Cola were already sleeping on Li Yanshu laps,as a young boy of five,Li Cola was already snoring out of tiredness while Li Cherry giggled in between her slumber.

Li Yanshu smiled and kissed them on their forehead, immediately she looked up,no traces of a motherly smile was found,she had a frosty look on her face. Even Mu Ze was chilly,he wound the window up thinking it was the cold from outside until he saw through his mirror the look on Li Yanshu's face.

"So 'Shushu'"he said chuckling.

"Why didn't you tell me that you were my cousin lost love?"his look matches the look on Li Yanshu's face, except for the fact that even though Li Yanshu was in thoughts with that look,she still looks beautiful like a goddess. Infact that only added to her incomparably mystique.

But Mu Ze look was scary and terrifying,there was a smile on his face,but one could easily see the menace and craziness.

"You didn't ask"Li Yanshu answered stroking her children's hair,her frosty look soon changed to love,care and self-content. The silky texture of their hair went in between her fingers soothing every ounce of anger or whatever emotions she was feeling inside.

Mu Ze was beyond angry at this point,he was angry at the way she acted like she doesn't care about what he thinks or what he wants. Back when he was a playboy,he never dealt with this before, everybody does according to what he wants,never wanting to anger him.

He wants to change but her attitude...

He screeched to an halt"Do you know how foolish i looked out there?, we're going to get married yet you didn't tell me such an important news until Mu Zhen comes running over kneeling before you. Is that what you want?,a war between cousins?"Mu Ze wasn't a fool,he saw the look of longing in his cousin's eyes when he sighted Li Yanshu,he noticed the tenderness in his voice when he spoke.

And Li Yanshu made no move to stop him,it was like everybody was invisible to them until he yelled for them to stop.

What was this woman playing at?
