Chapter 10- The escape

I grabbed Tyler's hand and started running.

"Why are you running?" He asked confused.

"Some peeps are looking for me?"

"Looking for you?"

"Looking for us"

I don't know if Tyler heard it or he just didn't put his mind to it but I was sure about what I heard even if I turned out to be wrong, I didn't want to find out in anyway

Still holding unto Tyler, I tried to maneuver through the crowd. It wasn't easy but I managed to do just that cause my life actually depended on it

When we were finally out of the crowd, I felt my hands getting cold and didn't know what was happening but also didn't care about it at the moment. I had one thing on my mind and that was to get out of this fair as soon as possible

"Where are your remaining packs?" I asked almost impatiently, who was I kidding, I was far from the word 'almost'. "That is the first time you are calling them that instead of my men or something" he said with no ounce of panic. I mean I'm the one in the wrong world and not him so I can't blame him. "Where. Are. They?" I asked furiously because I was freaking out about both the men after us and my hands which were getting even colder by the second. "Sheesh, don't worry they are close by". I was about to relax until I actually heard their footsteps which had already stopped beside us. "Stop right there foreigner" they were about to launch at us and I stretched my two hands forward as defense against whatever they wanted to do and looked away but something else happen. I didn't know what exactly but by the time I looked back at the monsters who were about to attack us, I saw they were already trapped in ice spikes

What?! How?! When?!

I was still lost in thoughts until Tyler dragged me and the next thing I knew, we were already in the car on our way back to the mansion

We sat in silence until Tyler broke the silence "So are we gonna talk about what happened back there or are we gonna pretend like it didn't?". I didn't even have the answer to that question that's if I actually heard what the question was. I was so confused and didn't know what to do or how to react. I was in awe about what happened. I wasn't scared of the men that are now gonna on my tail but I was scared of what just happened wasn't normal because none of my kinds have had more than one powers even the most powerful of us all don't, so was I special?

When we got to the mansion, I was still in awe and went straight to my room without talking to anyone. I jumped unto the bed and placed myself under my blanket and stayed there until I fell asleep

I woke up in the middle of the night due to the noises I was hearing and then I realized Nicky wasn't in the room now and wasn't in the room when I came back so I went to look for her

I followed the noise into the corridor until I found the library's door slightly opened with light beaming out. I heard some noises coming from the room and tiptoed. "Nicky, what are you doing in the library in the middle of the night?" Which was what I said before I realized it wasn't she. "Tyler, what are you doing awake by this time?"

He turned to me with a concerned but not surprised look "I can see you haven't still recognized my footsteps yet". "Your steps are just unique and different for me to pin point. So it might take a while" I said, moving towards him. "Yeah, probably" he said, as he switched his attention back to the books he was reading. "So what are you up to" I asked totally forgetting the main reason I came out in the first place. "I was studying some things..."

"About what?"

"About what just happened today"

"And what I've learnt is that I know what you are or who you are"

I would have actually stopped this chapter here but it's too short to stop here, so I'll let you guys have this one😉

"So who am I? What am I?" I asked finally happy to know what I was but also scared to find out because in my heart, I felt like I was an extractor. I mean that is the only suitable reason. The ability I have now is similar to the one Steve has or should I say 'had'. "So, tiger, there are actually two possible creatures that you are. It's whether you are an extractor or..." I was about to break down when he said extractor but he made sure he finished his sentence first "...or a powerful being". "I am a power being" "Not just any power being, a powerful being. In your world, I'm sure you have heard of Hudson, the destroyer of world's peace" I was sure that wasn't what they called him but I chose not to talk and let him have it this time "He was the first and recorded power being to have multiple powers. It's actually due to how many extractors he has killed. And this is not proven but there is a high chance his offsprings can also have more than one powers but not completely sure yet. But you can't be an extractor since your eyes are green and..." Wait what did he say?

"What did you say? Green? There's no way in hell my eyes are green" I didn't believe him tho. I looked for the nearest reflective object and when I saw my reflection, I screamed at the top of my lungs. "What?! How? When did my eyes turn green?" I said as I used my hands to further survey my eyes. "What do you mean by 'when did they turn green' ?" Tyler interrupted me "Your eyes have always been green since the first day we met, since you entered our world, so what do you mean by when?"

I was shocked about that revelation. "Something is wrong with me"
