Chapter 10- Vega POV

I locked the door and headed to the nearest boba store. Walking, since I don't have a car. Not too many people are out today which is nice. My mind is still plagued with phantom memories that the dream resurfaced. It's abnormal for me to remember specific memories that way- so unusual I mentally debate asking an old friend for help.

I pull out my phone and slowly type in the passcode. Pulling up her contact information, I debate the pros and cons of telling her.

Cons:

She might be busy, and I don't want to be a bother.

How am I going to tell her about Arlow?

Pros:

She's strong with a power that can probably help me.

She might have information on what the Suits are up to.

Heck, she might be able to catch me up on how they are dealing with Arlow's disappearance.

It would be nice to catch up with an old friend.

I decide that the pros outweigh the cons and pull up a text thread.

Me: I need your help.

Simple enough to get the point across and show urgency, without sparing too many details.

I put my phone in the pocket of my hoodie when I arrived at the small cafe. I greeted the counter worker with a, "Hello," and exchanged the money for the two boba teas. When I have the drinks in hand, I feel my phone buzz. Stopping at an open table, I see her name flash in a notification.
