Chapter 41: Busted

The multiple gunshots continued as Detective White passed through the alley. He instinctively ducked behind a dumpster taking cover. From the dumpster, he peeped to see who his colleagues were shooting at.

A bloodcurdling scream escaped from the shadowy alley behind him before he could get a response from his team after he radioed demanding to know what was happening. His heart raced inside him as beads of cold sweat streamed down his smooth cheeks. With his years of experience as a cop, he has never experienced such gunplay before. He needed to know who it was that screamed.

He caught a glimpse of a corpse of a young lady wrapped in red clothes. Only her head and neck were exposed after being wrapped. At this time, he was lost and couldn’t make any sense of the situation at hand. He has seen an old woman dead with her heart gone. Now another corpse of a young lady amid multiple gunshots.
