Chapter 20 - First Fight

Lucas couldn’t let any of his friends know his identity. He quickly moved behind Bonnie and whispered to her. “I can’t reveal my identity to my friends. Do something.”

With a snap of her fingers, Bonnie froze Lucas’ friends in time. They couldn’t move or be aware of what is happening around them.

“What did you do to them?” Lucas asked with curiosity. Although Bonnie and Ann have been putting him through how to master his powers, he has not been told he can snap his fingers and freeze anyone in time with his mind channeled right.

“Relax, they are not dead but just frozen in time.” As a white clan witch, Bonnie knew quite well the best way to save every white clan witch from turning dark is to find the mystical orb and end this fight once and for all, if not, they will all be forced into another dreadful battle with the werewolves. She didn’t want to engage in a fight with the young man dressed in a tunic because she was afraid of killing him and turning dark. The best she could do is to let Lucas handle the fight.

Ann and Jane made their way towards Lucas and Bonnie and stood beside them. The both of them weren’t frozen in time and they look ready to fight. “Mistress, what will you have me do?” Ann asked.

“We do nothing. Allow the chosen one to handle this.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Lucas isn’t a good fighter. His ass has been kicked severally by Jack. However, he has not come to a full knowledge of what it means to be a werewolf and a wizard at the same time. He has no idea of the abilities he possesses. He thinks he’s still that young boy, Jack toys with. Of course not! What he possesses is beyond that.

“You are a wizard and a werewolf. We can’t get involved in this fight without making the mistake of killing a soul,” said Bonnie.

Seems like Lucas have forgotten that the white clan witches can turn dark when they kill a soul and it will take a thousand years to get rid of the dark side. He can’t fight a werewolf, at least not yet. Killing a werewolf and triggering his werewolf curse doesn’t mean he can stand up to a werewolf just yet.

However, Bonnie quickly changed his mind to join the fight when she realized they are already surrounded by ten werewolves. Jane was able to tell how many werewolves that have surrounded them with her psychic ability as a Banshee.

The young man dressed in a tunic begins to make his way into the apartment with his claws all popped out. He snarled at them and then pounced towards Bonnie. He pinned Bonnie to the ground trying to sink his fangs into her chest. He was going for the aorta, which carries blood out of the heart. The aorta is the biggest blood vessel of all and it’s up to 1 inch in diameter.

Lucas quickly saw how vulnerable Bonnie is. She was trying not to fight back to avoid killing her attacker. Lucas couldn’t help but grab the young man from behind. He pulled him off Bonnie and landed a very powerful blow on him sending him across the table. With this action, he realized that he wasn’t the Lucas he used to be. Something supernatural has taken place in him. He grinned with confidence that he could do this. He quickly went after the young man and grabbed him up to his feet. Before he could release another powerful blow again, the young man grabbed Lucas by the throat. His claws were slowly piercing through Lucas’ skin.

Enraged, Jane released a sonic scream towards the young man slamming him to the wall. She made her way towards him with her stone eye gaze on him. “You are messing with the wrong people,” she said releasing another powerful sonic scream. The scream was so powerful that it came with a wind wave and smashed the young man’s skull to the wall.

Jane was using her superhumanly Banshee powerful lungs, throat, and vocal cords to produce a sonic scream that could knock a very powerful supernatural being off his feet. She did not want to activate the full strength of her powers to avoid collapsing Lucas’ apartment. She was only using a fraction of her power. Banshees’ screams can pull down any building especially when they use their powers with their full strength. She aims to weaken the young man and not kill him.

However, the young man isn’t giving up as he slowly drags himself to his feet. His smashed skull has healed completely. He cast his gaze on them with a fake smile. “You all are dead,” he said followed by howl-barking. Werewolves often used howl-barking to call for help or to inform the rest of the pack of the dangers ahead. However, when the young man let out his signal, the ten werewolves surrounding Lucas’ apartment trooped in.

Some of the werewolves can switch to their wolf form even when it’s not a full moon. About five of them appear in their wolf form whereas some in their human form. They were ready to start tearing apart everyone in the building including Lucas’ friends that have been frozen in time.

Lucas could see the evil in their eyes. He positioned himself well as he knew things are about to get bloody. With what is happening now, this is not the time for Bonnie and Ann to say, they don’t want to stain themselves with blood or think about losing their good nature as a white clan witch. This is the time to fight to survive. Not the time to ponder.

Lucas, Jane, Bonnie, and Ann were all surrounded. They are ready for a defensive attack on the werewolves. But they were caught off guard when the werewolves switched their attention on those frozen in time. Before they could know what was happening, the werewolves launched their attack on Lucas’ vulnerable friends.
