When Abaddon awoke a few hours later, he was mildly surprised that Eris was still awake and had not moved from her place beside him.
As soon as she realized he was awake, a teasing smile spread across her face.
"Who would have expected that the demonic dragon who is widely feared on several continents would be spending the whole day in bed after a night of drinking."
The dragon in question felt slightly embarrassed.
A few glasses of alcohol had reduced him to such a sorry state as this.
"I don't have much experience with drinking, my wife."
"Neither does Thea but she was at least able to get up before noon." Eris giggled.
Inadvertently, Eris had almost reignited Abaddon's competitive spirit.
He would have challenged his daughter to another drinking contest had Eris' next words not temporarily frozen his brain.
"Last night...you spoke of coming from another world...was that true?"
