Leonard eyes hardened as he sent his glare in the direction of Khalilah, before returning them back to his sister.
"Are you really going to tell her?" He asked again. "You know if you don't, I don't mind—"
"I will tell her." Rose-Anne interrupted him sharply, and then he cleared his throat briefly before exiting the room, Khalilah burst into a short pained laughter.
She was so frustrated to the point that she was unable to cry any longer, it was just so funny, the hatred and the neglect.
"Why are you laughing?" Rose-Anne grew concerned for her grandchild, she thought the pressure was probably too much and it was tearing away at her sanity little by little.
"It's almost as if I'm not a member of the family, grandma." She finally spoke and she laughed even more. "I don't remember the reason uncle hates me so much."
Guilt was etched into Grannie Rosie's face, she would not deny the fact that Khalilah was saying the truth.
