Fate and Power - Chapter 5

Alia quickly set her book aside and approached Adrian. "Are you feeling okay, young one?"

Adrian opened his eyes and looked up at Alia. He nodded, rubbing his eyes. "Yeah, I think so." "What time is it?"

"It's still the middle of the night," Alia replied. "You should go back to sleep."

Adrian yawned and snuggled into the thick hide. "Okay," he murmured sleepily. "Thanks, Alia."

Alia smiled and stroked his hair gently. "Sleep well, Adrian." "Tomorrow, we'll start to uncover the mystery of your true nature."

Adrian woke up in the morning and was given a bowl of meat and soup.

Adrian couldn't help but be grateful to Alia as he ate the warm, hearty meal.He had never tasted anything quite like the meat she had cooked, and the warm soup helped to soothe his aching body. He savored every bite, feeling his strength slowly returning.

Alia watched him eat with a small smile on her face. "You have a good appetite, young one," she commented. "That's a good sign."

Adrian finished the meal and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. "Thank you, Alia," he said. "That was delicious."

Alia nodded, her expression serious. "Now, we need to talk about your gift."

Adrian felt a surge of nervousness and excitement. "What is it?" he asked eagerly.

"We don't know yet," Alia replied, her voice calm and steady. "But we will find out." "Your dreams and visions indicate that you possess a unique ability, and it's important that we understand it and learn how to use it to your advantage."

Adrian listened intently, his curiosity piqued. "What do we do first?" he asked. "We start by training your mind and body," Alia said. "We need to make sure that you are strong and focused enough to harness your gift. I have a plan in mind, but it won't be easy. "Are you ready to begin?"

Adrian nodded resolutely. "I'm ready," he said. "I want to know who I am and what I'm capable of." Alia smiled at him, her eyes shining with pride. "Good," she said. "Then let's get started."

Alia began to speak in a soothing voice, her words slowly lulling Adrian into a state of calm. "Close your eyes, young one," she said. "Focus on your breath and the feeling of calmness inside your mind." Let go of all your worries and fears. "Just be present in this moment."

Adrian did as he was told, closing his eyes and taking deep breaths. He tried to focus on the sensation of air filling his lungs and then leaving his body.

Gradually, he felt his thoughts becoming less jumbled and his body becoming more relaxed. He could feel the calmness inside his mind growing stronger with each passing moment.

As Adrian continued to breathe deeply, Alia whispered to herself. Shocked.

"What is this?" Instantly, a black sphere ball appeared in front of them. Inside the black sphere ball, there are strokes of yellow and blue; the ball itself is hovering in the air. The sphere seemed to pulse with an eerie energy, and Adrian couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder.

"What is it?" he asked, his voice hushed with reverence.

"It's a manifestation of your gift," Alia replied. "I don't know what this is, but I will find it in a second." Alia gets up and starts to look at the book; minutes later, she stops for a second and then looks at Adrian.

"Everything fits..."
