Alaric POV

"NOOOOO!" I screamed out snapping out from the vision, but the chuckling laughter of my other self continues to ring out in my mind.

Sweat coated my face as I gazed at the castle wall in front of me that cannot be the path I take in order to save her majesty from the fate that awaits her there must be some other way I thought with desperate panic.

A knock on the door snaps me out from my inner turmoil "Sir Alaric is everything alright in there I heard the sound of screaming from here," came the voice of one the many care maidens her voice sounded young roughly around my age.

Standing up from my position on the ground I open the door only to pause once I saw her face long brown curly hair that went down her shoulders, hazel-colored eyes, and while her skin was covered with a bit of dust which did little to hide her beauty.

I gulped I've seen my fair of share women no thanks to Sir Lancelot, but I never quite found myself attracted to them mostly since they were a lot older than me.

"Sir, are you alright?" her voice calls out I shake my head "Ah- yes I am fine thank you for your concern miss?" I paused with a raised brow hoping she would give her name.

"Eliza," she quickly informed with a small smile "well lady Eliza, I assure you I am alright although I could use a goblet of water right about now," I replied back with a smile of my own she nodded her gaze lingering a bit on my face "of course sir," she said walking away from the door.

I watch her trailing figure until she disappeared then the smile on my face finally went away, and a sigh exits from my mouth after "God damn you both to be Lancelot, Merlin the two of you have corrupted me," I muttered closing the door behind me.

Walking back to where I was sitting before, I grabbed my fallen sword sheathing it back in a smooth fashion.

My eyes inspected the weapon thinking over what I had seen in my vision perhaps if I kill whoever this Mordred is then everyone should be saved no needless bloodshed will have to be spilled.

That wouldn't work though, would it? It's Artoria and Camelot's fate to fall isn't it if I were to stop it all from happening humanity will deploy its guardians to either stop or kill me.

"Sir Alaric I have arrived back with the goblet of water you requested," came the voice of Eliza heading over I open the door once again "my thanks lady Eliza," I said with a nod.

Eliza bowed her head "it was nothing Sir Alaric if that was all may I be dismissed?" she asked as I take the goblet from her "yes that's all for now," I said walking back into the room drinking the cold water to calm my nerves down.

My eyes look over the view of the window "almost time for my first day of training with lady Morgan to begin...I should probably go lest I be late," I mutter.

-timeskip to Morgan's personal study-

"So can you tell me what it is you think of when it comes to the element of Darkness Alaric?" Morgan asked from across the study table.

"What I think? I suppose when I think of darkness it's mainly of shadows, the night, evil, and corruption," I replied with my brows furrowed in deep contemplation.

Morgan nodded her head "all good answers but incorrect when you think of darkness you must think of the heart or in this case your soul where all the emotions that are related to darkness form. Everyone at some point has darkness within them but not enough for one to manipulate and use like us two which is why the element is very rare to appear in a mage," she lectured.

I frown at that darkness in my soul I thought remembering the visage of the dark knight from my vision "now usually it takes a while to grasp onto the darkness element but luckily for us I'll just use my own darkness to help you grasp onto your own," Morgan said reaching a handout to my own.

I am hesitant at first but if I were to gain more strength because of this then I can use that strength to somehow change the future to a brighter one I thought with determination, so I let her do so.

"You may feel a bit uncomfortable at first Alaric but once you've unlocked your element the feeling will vanish," Morgan warned as an outline of darkness went from her hand into my arm which soon went down to where my heart was.

The feeling of her darkness was heavy and suffocating yet at the same feels familiar to my body my eyes close and I can see a mental image of my heart.

Morgan's darkness lingers arounds it until a burst of purple colored darkness rushed forth protecting not only my heart but absorbing the tendrils that Morgan was channeling.

I pulled my arm back instantly, the change in my right arm was visible though shadows with flickers of indigo engulfed it until I clenched my fist willing it to disperse away and surprisingly enough of it works.

I look at Morgan who stares at me in shock "th-this was unexpected the amount of darkness contained within you is...simply boundless nearly surpassing my own," she muttered.

"I am guessing that's probably either good or bad," I finally said after regaining my composure her eyes flicker to a different colore shade of blue but then again, I reasoned it was probably my imagination acting up again "no its nothing bad my dear in fact having such an amount will make it so that you have a lot more firepower to add into your spells.

It's just something about yours's made me feel wary for a second...let's not think about that anymore though we still have a couple more hours until dinner," she said with a slight pause clearly something shook her about what she just witnessed but I didn't wish to push her about it.

"Alright now try summoning your darkness on your own," she instructed giving a nod in response I raise my right arm clenched into a fist recalling the feeling I felt when it first manifested.

Like a lit flame tendrils of indigo colored darkness graced around my arm once again I raise it up looking at it closely wondering just what exactly I could do with this.

The image of myself levitating in the sky wielding orbs of pure purple colored lightning from the alternate future comes to my mind.

-end of chapter fourteen-

so, a lot of people just want me to get into holy grail war part already which I will do soon after I finish these origin chapters.

I was planning to have more chapters featuring the training Alaric gets from Morgan but now I've decided to shorten that down showing bits and pieces instead while the rest can be shown in flashbacks.

In regard to the tournament, I'll have it so that he faces Gaheris and then Agrovaine as his final opponent I won't bore you all with Gawaine or Lancelot's fights like I how initially planning.

I was kind of hoping to build up some more interactions with the other knights of the round table as well but again I can show those in flashbacks as well.

Once that's all done, I'll do yet another timeskip to the final battle where they finally kill Vortigern and Alaric will be shown to be much stronger due to his constant training with both his weapons and magic, then head into Morgan's betrayal of Artoria when she poses as Gwenevere to steal her um dna, a brief chapter with Alaric finding out about Morgans betrayal and comforting his first motherly figure since the other betrayed and r#ped her, then a little timeskip again where Morgan gets into contact with Alaric again and some more interestings happen, Alaric takes Mordred on as his squire, and bit more interesting things that I won't spoil just yet.

Reviews are very important please post one so that I may know how this fic is going and what more I can work/develop thank you!
