"Yanyan, what, what is that?" Mo Qingze, the last to get off the carriage, exclaimed in shock at the sight of his daughter hugging a shadow larger than Little Flower, his voice trembling with alarm.
Mo Yan explained, "Dad, this is Dabai, you've seen him before, he's the one who led us to Little Flower last time."
Upon hearing this, Mo Qingze quickly remembered and his anxiety subsided, but he couldn't help thinking, was it really okay for their home to be visited by either a large python or a wolf now?
Dabai glanced at Mo Qingze and nudged closer into Mo Yan's arms, its moist snout pressing against the back of her hand, cool and damp.
As night fell and hunger set in, Mo Yan made a large pot of dough drop soup with a few appetizing side dishes. It all tasted wonderfully sweet!
Little Fur Ball also ate dough drop soup, happily lapping it up from a small basin.
