~Chapter 3~

As morning came, the sun risen up into the sky. The sun was a brilliant orange and the clouds a light pink with purple under shadows. It was stunning, and Elenora was awake to see it. She looked to the sky and smiled. It reminded her of her home.

There came a rustling noise and Elenora looked over towards the tent. Liam was crawling out, eyes towards the sky.

"Whoa! Do you see the sky?" His eyes lit up in adoration.

Elenora giggled and looked up at the sky.

"I do Liam."

"I see it sissy! It's so cool!" The little girl smiled and jumped up and down. Elenora smiled and looked to her sister. Olivia was so innocent and sweet. Elenora wanted to preserve that side of her.

"Do you see the little dipper, Olivia?"

"I do! It is so small! Like me!"

They shared a laugh and looked at the stars.

"Elenora?" A voice cut in.

Elenora looked over to Liam and scratched her neck, smiling sheepishly.

"Sorry! I must've zoned out!" Elenora then stood up, grabbing some wood. She set the wood in the fire pit and summoned all her strength and conjured a fire ball, making the flame strike the wood. The fire roared, making Liam's eyes shine in amazement.

"Whoa! So cool!" You could see the flames dance in his eyes along with the stars that shined there. Elenora saw this and smiled. 'Just like Olivia' she thought.

After breakfast, the two set off again, down the path to the unknown. They came across a village along the path and stopped there, buying food and herbs for the trip. When they set off again, Elenora noticed something on the ground. It glowed a golden hue in the evening sun, which grabbed her attention. She got on her knees and searched the grass for the object. Feeling something hard and cool against her hand, she grabbed the item. It was a golden gem with an eye symbol engraved in the center of it. Curiosity got the best of her and she put the gem up to her eye, looking through it. The world was so different through the stone, covered in mist, the village looked ethereal and other-worldly. Startled, she took the stone from her face, and looked at the village with her light purple eyes. The village looked the same as it did before- no mist, no weird vibe to it, normal. Looking to the stone again, thoughts filled her head. Where did the stone come from? What did she see? Why did she see what she did?

"Elenora? What's that?" Snapping out of her thoughts, she looked to Liam and smiled.

"Sorry Liam! I seem to be zoning out a lot today! And this? Just a stone I found!" Elenora then stuck the stone in the small pocket of her satchel, hiding it from Liam. Trying to keep the stone off his mind, Elenora then started to walk ahead of him, setting a new pace.

Her main goal now, other than protecting Liam, was to figure out what that stone meant. It seemed important, but she didn't know why. The stone gave off a hum and she looked to the bag's pocket. Determined, she looked ahead, grabbed Liam's hand, and set forth on the path. Who knows what she will find out about the stone, who knows what secrets it will uncover! This was a very exciting thought to Elenora. She couldn't wait to find out the secrets of the golden stone.
