The Gang problem

Several hours later, Xavier walked back home while reminiscing about the events that happened at school. "Haa… mom is so going to kill me." Xavier mumbled subconsciously. He had been suspended from school for a week but he honestly wasn't surprised, rather he thought he was getting a harsher punishment since all the blame was somehow pinned on him. Luckily for him, they weren't able to get a hold on his mom.

'At least I don't get yelled on at school.' He thought inwardly.

*Growl~*

Xavier stopped in his tracks as his eyes fell on a nearby store, apparently all the throwing of balls and jumping around had made him work an appetite. His gaze fell on a nearby Provisions store before deciding to walk towards it.

Bring

The sound of the store's doorbell resounded as Xavier walked into it. Covering the bottom part of his face was a black face mask, he used this because of his strong sense of smell.

He immediately headed to the snack section as he grabbed a pack of chips and a chocolate bar. Just as he was about to head to the counter to pay…

*Bring!*

The door of the store was swung open as a man wearing a black hoodie and jeans alongside a black bandana covering half of his face.

"Give me all the money in the cash register before I f*cking blow your brains out." He yelled as he pointed a pistol at the shop owner who was already scared out of wits as he hurriedly brought out money from the cash register with shaky hands.

'I think I'm starting to get sick of all these thugs in the city.' Xavier thought as he bit into his chocolate bar while watching what was transpiring.

Originally Silver Mist had been a city with a very low crime rate not until the two biggest gangs in a nearby city called R-city started a gang war. In other to escape the war, most of the smaller gangs in the city had fled to the neighboring cities to wait it out. The war had ended according to what he saw on the news but the gangs in silver mist didn't seem much interested in returning to their old city thereby causing an influx of crime activities.

"Hey kid!"

"Huh?"

The thug's voice pulled him out of his daze. "Get on the f*cking floor!" the man who was now pointing his pistol at Xavier yelled. He immediately complied as he raised both arms and was already headed to the floor when his left ear twitched. His acute hearing had caught the sound of phone dialing, the salesperson had momentarily used the thug's distraction to dial an emergency line but unfortunately for him, he had forgotten to remove his phone from the loud speaker setting.

[Emergency hotline, how can I help you?]

A voice at the other end of the call resounded loudly.

"You f*cker!" he yelled pissed as he pointed the gun at the shop owner, ready to shot him…

'Shit!.'

Xavier suddenly did a backflip from his crouching position, causing his right foot to hit the pistol before the trigger was pulled.

*Bang!*

The loud sound of the gun being fired resounded but the gun wasn't aimed at the shop owner but at the ceiling. Xavier held on to his ears wincing as the sound of the gunshot was too sudden for his heightened hearing which he was still getting used to.

"You punk!"

He yelled aiming his gun at Xavier, this time intending to fire at him. Xavier who had realized this immediately dashed forward instantaneously closing the distance between them in a crouching position before swiping his hand upwards sending the gun flying from his hands due to their difference in strength.

Not giving his opponent time to recover, he immediately sent a roundhouse kick at the man's face sending him flying through the glass window of the store, shattering the glass to pieces as the thug's body landed on the floor unmoving.

He picked up the gun from the floor as he glanced at the semi-automatic pistol also known as the dessert eagle before squeezing with force. The gun which stood no chance to his super human strength shattered into dismantled parts as they fell on the floor.

He then picked up his bag of chips and chocolate bars, dropped the money for them on the counter before quietly exiting the store leaving the store owner in utter disbelief of what he had just witnessed.

"What I just did couldn't backfire in anyway… right?" Xavier thought as he walked fast paced back home.

----------

Back at the store, a police cruiser was now seen outside the store as officers investigated the crime scene after arresting the unconscious man who had attempted to rob the store.

"Haa…"

Theo rubbed his temples for the umpteenth time as he looked at the store owner with a tired expression.

"So, what you're trying to tell me is that some high school teenager had managed to take down an armed man all by himself and not only that, using only his bare hand to break apart that gun?" he said while using his pen to point at the shattered gun parts on the floor.

Examining the gun parts was his partner, Detective Angy who paid both men no mind and simply just took notes.

"I swear I'm telling ya, that kid just suddenly did a backflip like some kind 'er ninja or something before wiping the floor with that thug's face. But that's not the crazy part; I could swear that while he broke apart that gun the kid's eyes glowed red." The shop owner said as he told his unbelievable tale.

'I freaking didn't sign up for all this shit hosiery' Theo thought while pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Come on Angy, I don't think there's anything left here than a delusional store owner." Theo said about to leave the store.

"Wait I remember, I have a CCTV camera footage!" The store owner called out to Theo and Angy causing them to stop in their tracks.

"Show me." Theo said with a serious expression.
